For the adventurous, there's a steep path (yes, it's steep but worth the effort) to a private dock, where you can fish, swim, or simply enjoy the stunning views. Whether you’re on the water, exploring nearby hiking trails or lounging on the back deck, this Lake James haven is the perfect place to create lasting memories with loved ones.

Beautiful home on the lake. Worked out perfectly for a weekend with 4 couples. The game room was a fun bonus.

Overall, a beautiful, clean, quiet, modern property. The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were very comfortable and it was a lovely location. The first day we saw a raccoon, wild turkeys and deer. We enjoyed having access to the community pool and the dock there. as we were able to kayak from that dock and jump off easier and there was a covered area. The owners were most helpful when lightning struck the Lake James area and were very responsive as needed. Having a fire pit, game room and 2 decks allowed all of us to have space. The only issue is it is a very steep climb down to the dock and it is not for elderly or handicapped folks. We enjoyed day trips to Grandfather Mtn, Blowing Rock and Linville Falls. Lake James is a serene and beautiful lake and we would return.

Summer gathering at the Overlook Lake James

Enjoyed staying in this brand new home on a ridge overlooking Lake James. The home was spacious and modern, but also warm and inviting to sit and look out the big windows while gathered for a meal. A bonus was the private dock which provided nice access to Lake James. Everyone has a nice space to spread out, but also a great place for family and friends to spend time together.

Well appointed home in a great location. There is a beautiful deck/dock at the bottom of the hill, however the hill is steep so it is a hike to get to. Alternatively, there is a neighborhood pool and boat dock, which is a four minute drive from the property. We used this dock to launch our boat and jet skis and it worked great.
