Wintergreen Retreat - bespoke luxury post & beam home on Devils Knob loop

The Wintergreen Retreat is a vacation rental home within the Wintergreen Resort in Virginia in the prestigious Devil's Knob Loop area. This modern meets rustic elegant mountain getaway is just a few hundred yards from gorgeous scenic overlooks. The house comfortably sleeps 10 - 12 in 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Luxury furnishings throughout and a thoughtful home layout for family entertainment.

Wintergreen Retreat is equipped with a whole-house germicidal UVC air purification and cleansing system. We have also worked closely with our housekeeping team to update our already high cleaning standards and have implemented an enhanced cleaning and disinfecting program.

The house features many upscale amenities, including:
Kitchen and Dining area - A chefs delight: Luxury Kitchenaid and Wolf appliances and accessories. Honed Granite countertops and large dining table with chairs for 8 and 4 additional stools at kitchen island.

Main Great Room with hand-scraped large plank wood floors, soaring ceilings with wood beams. 55' 4K LG OLED TV, Apple TV, cultured masonry stone fireplace, leather sofa, recliner and love seat. In addition to

Relax with wooded mountain views and grill out on in either of the 2 outdoor seating areas, including an upper deck and lower screened porch.

Master Bedroom Suite - soaring vaulted ceilings, a 55" 4K OLED Flatscreen, King Westin Heavenly bed, soaker tub, upgraded master bath suite.

A fantastic experience - BOOK IT!

This annual family trip was even better than we imagined! We would return in a flash no matter the time of year. The house, resort, and surrounding areas have so much to offer and everyone in our family, of all ages, had a blast. The house was definitely bespoke, the kitchen well-supplied, and all rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Nephew and niece were especially impressed with the basement offerings. Winter Storm Kingston caused some emergency panic about accessibility and snow removal, but Nathan responded immediately to all of my concerns. He even offered to let us check in earlier - and even the night before! - to be safe. The snow was gorgeous (especially looking outside through the giant windows in the warm family room with a fire crackling) and made for excellent snow tubing. (We are not skiers, but the slopes looked terrific from what we could see.) If you have any doubts about booking Wintergreen Retreat, ignore them - you won't regret it!

The house was superior! The house was well stocked with everything we needed to cook, watch football, play pool and hit the slopes. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and updated. In fact the whole house was updated and in superior condition. Beautiful home!

Tyler’s House

We absolutely love this home! This is our 4th time staying and our oldest granddaughter who is 5 thinks it’s her uncle Tyler’s house so that’s what we call it! Some day she’ll learn the truth but for now it’s Tyler’s House. So well equipped and functional warm and cozy! Our favorite time to visit is probably October but would love to be there for a good snow too!

This is our second stay at this beautiful home. Everything about it is perfect. Plenty of room for all of us. The weather was beautiful during the day and cool enough at night that we were able to enjoy that fireplace. And the only thing that kitchen is missing is a chef!!
