My partner and I had a great time at this comfy little getaway. Whether watching movies in the living room or unwinding in the hot tub, you're sure to have a great time!
Storybook Lodge was the perfect getaway we were looking for! The home had a cozy but modern feel and the host was super responsive when we needed help with the fireplace. Will definitely be coming back in the future!
Being 12 minutes from Luray 6 minutes to New Market, and about 20 to skyline drive- the location was perfect with close hiking and good food options. The home was very nicely updated and the hot tub was a great touch. Beautiful views! 10/10
We had such a great time at this cozy cabin in New Market, VA! The home was spacious enough to explore while still feeling warm and inviting. We loved building a Lego set by the fireplace and enjoying movie nights on the large TV. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was gorgeous with an amazing shower! The kitchen was one of our favorite spots. It had everything we needed to cook and a beautiful view of the mountains. We also enjoyed breakfast and tea in the sitting room with huge windows. Outside, the hot tub, fire pit, and grill were great additions. We had a little trouble with the fire pit, but the host responded quickly. The fireplace pilot light went out a couple of times, but it was easy to relight and kept the cabin perfectly warm. Thereâs also a space heater in the bedroom if needed.Since the cabin is in the woods, we did see some bugs and spiders, but we understood that comes with the location. Our only suggestion is for the cleaning crew to double-check everything before new guests arrive, there was a bit of trash left in the bathroom bin and some hair in the dish drawer. Not a big issue, just something small to note. A washer and dryer onsite would also be a great addition.Overall, the cabin had everything we needed, the views were beautiful, and we had a wonderful stay. We would definitely return for another relaxing mountain escape!
Always easy to communicate with the host. Hot tub was amazing and the kitchen had basic needs like oil, salt, pepper ect. Maybe the cleaners could have done a better job. Upon arrival we had to sweep up maybe a dozen dead bugs by some of the windows.
