Floor was very loud i couldnt sleep. Staff on the floor juat talking on the phone loudly. Rooms were very small and tbere was no parking for guests thats a disappointment especially for guests on the road traveling like me. Front desk was very nice and helpful though.

Housekeeper walked into our room without knocking at DoubleTree by Hilton Long Island City, saw my partner naked, and lingered staring. Unforgivable. Front desk apologized, but 24+ hours later there’s no management response or corrective action. We’re done. I’m beyond incensed—will be reaching out to Hilton directly.

There’s no pool. The staff members are either ineffectual and surly or excellent very little in between. There’s no bar something. Woung would expect from a Doubletree. The rooms are small and cramped. And the general manager is an arrogant jerk. He should be fired and driven out of the hotel with a whip. The staff overall is ineffectual and dopey.

Nightmare on Floor 16

Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience and because the hotel was sold out, we were stuck in the room we got stuck with. 1) Missing hardware on the walls (1 missing in bathroom, one missing on the bedside lamp) 2) The shower had a lot hair on the wall.... 3) No TV remote 4) A large square cut out in the ceiling OVER THE BED, to which a green bright light shining in our faces. 5) I think because of we were on the top floor and under that cut-out, we also heard whirring over our heads, which then became a high-pitch, and I'm talking dog whistle, anyone over 60 years old can't hear it, but we sure can't drown it out, type of noise. At that point, I ask for the room to be switched. Can't, sold out. Fine, I ask for a TV remote for our TV, which they had to send someone back to our room 10 minutes later with the remote, but it did not drown the noise out. 5) We had an adjoining room to another family who we could hear every word being spoken starting at 7am. We slept as much as we could from about 3am-8am and left immediately.

My stay in general was very pleasant. The only issue I come across was the cleaning - standards were poor. I think they just made the bed, change the towels, wipe the sink and emptied the bin. The room was dusty and floors needed vacuuming. On the second night the rooms was not made, so I had to regularly remind reception staff to alert for housekeeping to attend. The facilities were nice otherwise, staff was polite and friednly.
