My stay at Capital Hotel was very disappointing. The room had visible roaches, which made it feel unclean and uncomfortable. The bed was extremely hard and not at all restful. The staff were strange and unprofessional, which made the overall vibe even worse. To make matters worse, I was given a hard time when trying to get back my $100 security deposit—even though I left the room clean and undamaged. It felt like they were trying to avoid returning it without a valid reason. I would not recommend staying here. There are definitely better options for the price.

The service was great but amenities were short. There was no garbage bins in the room. The bed was hard as a rock and parking sucked. Not to mention theres a big garbage bin right infront of the door to the entrance of the hotel that uou can smell every time you walk in or out. I would only recommend staying here if you want something cheap and staying for a night. Other than that its not worth it.

The hotel room was more then dirty with the shower still having pubic hair and other hair in the bathroom. The towels in the bathroom were ripped and the stench of cigarette smell was very powerful to the point where it was unbearable. The sheets on the bed were stained with dirt from the previous person we had to put our own towels and sheets over the bed to be able to sleep. The area had no parking and the surrounding was very sketchy which was concerning safety-wise. The hotel room was a disgrace; 0/10!!!

The floors all through the hallway and room looked like they had never been cleaned. Visible fingerprints all around door knobs, elevators, other surfaces; it felt gross and made me concerned about germs more than one would normal. Industrial buildings surrounding the hotel, horrible view and smells. Front office staff was polite, but cleaning staff yelled, spoke, and laughed loudly outside the room early in the morning. I will never recommend this hotel. Such a waste of $

didn’t like much room was okay but was dirty had gum next to the toilet on the floor our room wasn’t ready so we had to wait 5 mins for another one which wasn’t ready either then the key never worked so we needed to get a newer one then thr tv didn’t work so i had to watch it anything and everything on my phone

This is first time ever I decided to leave a review because is such a bad experience in my life. The building looked like it was under maintenance. The room has no microwave, no coffee machine, no chair to sit, ants on the floor, 100s of dead mosquitoes in the refrigerator, no parking, cockroach in the bathroom. I took pictures of everything and showed it to the hotel staff but it seemed that they don’t care. I don’t understand if they were not ready to book that place why they are putting it available for people. Spoiled our trip. Would not recommend any one to fall in the trap and please save your money.

This was the absolute most horrible stay I have ever experienced. Apparently the hotel is reopening from being closed after 4-5 years and you can definitely tell. There were major renovations being done on the floor we were roomed on. My guests and I saw ROACHES on FOUR different occasions. There were huge rodents outside of the establishment due to major construction being done. I was given incorrect information during check in which further proved to me this establishment was not ready for reopening. I checked out after seeing our friendly bugs in the room and contacted Expedia. The manager Chris came to the building, I explained the situation and he rectified it. Hopefully my refund will be processed in a very timely fashion but I do NOT RECOMMEND this hotel.

Eighth floor but still one roach crawled in by the ceiling - quite unfortunate.. The much needed ice maker was broken on one of the hottest days of the year in NYC.. Comfy bed but only two pillows..one side table only by the bed.. Would be nice to have a end of the bed bench at the foot of the bed.. clean bathroom but lackluster toiletries.. no where else to hang my towels or extra clothing..

New hotel, no ice machine, no chairs in rooms, I understand it’s a new property but this will make a huge difference. fridge in room was dusty. A lot of during and housekeeping should be done prior to opening. Beds are very comfortable but noisy metallic stands - make a lot of noise when having intimacy. They creak.

Hotel not so far from Manhattan, close to public transportation but not very welcoming area. Hotel room was convenient, however bathtub was stained, carpet dusty, and the heating system noisy. A kettle and coffee machine in the room would have been perfect!

So, I’ll admit, it could have been worse. We had heard another guest arguing for their money back since they had gotten to their room not ten minutes before to arrive to a room with urine all over the bathroom, bedding filthy, etc. While our room was clean, we can definitely reiterate that it’s for sleeping only. If you’re expecting a nice stay, this is not necessarily the place for you. The towel bar was falling out of the hole, there was missing furniture, the bedding was definitely a little suspicious… and the other furniture that was there was scuffed so bad. Additionally, we have stayed many places and have never experienced a stay where they require you to pay for early check-in, and as much as they required. Not to mention, we paid for early check-in and got probably the worst room in the entire place. We were right next to the desk and the storage room, so that meant we heard people talking (very loudly) until around three in the morning a couple nights, and the storage room door slamming the entire night every night. For the price, it isn’t horrible, but definitely not a nice place.
