Our stay at the Hotel Stanford was nice. The hotel was about where we needed to be. The room was certainly clean and the bedding was comfortable. A couple of things about the room however. The heat never really warmed the room to our desired temperature, so it was off by a few degrees and between the super water saver shower and the not all that hot water temperature, the shower never felt much more than warm. Midnight is not when I want to be dealing with hotel issues like this, so we let it be. Also thought it was a bit pricey. We stayed in the same neighborhood last year, about the same date and it was much cheaper.

The property is extremely convenient to so much in NYC either on foot or by public transport. Great dining nearby - Korea Town in the immediate area. Our room was very cosy, but we weren't in it much. Cannot comment on breakfast as we didn't try it.

There many positive elements to Hotel Stanford. The room size is definitely larger than most NYC hotel room in this price range. It has been renovated not too long ago and the improvements definitely show. The bed was super comfortable. They provide complementary bkfast and coffee in their 2nd fl lounge, which is quite comfortable. I did couple of zoom meetings at the lounge and it was good. The front desk staff was so helpful in helping us to check in early as we arrived after a red eye flight. Kudos definitely to the staff. Here are a few things that should be improved. 1. There is no electricity al outlet by the bed. It is impossible to charge your phone and use it in bed. 2. The thermometer is not very responsive. My room was either cold or stuffy. There is no middle ground. Our son's room did not have any cold air. After 2 days, we made a room change request and they moved our son's to a junior suite. Very well done. 3. As you go higher in the floor (we were on 12th floor...top floor), the water pressure goes down. I think it's due to the old buildings in NYC. Next time, I d e finite will be staying in a suite on the 2nd floor. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Stanford hotel as described above and certainly recommend this hotel. Finally, this hotel is located in heart of Manhattan Koreatown and the mid town location is soooo wonderfully accessible for wonderful Asian cuisine and short subway rides away from Central Park and the museum row.

Freezing room - 66 F

Hotel was ok... typical old nyc building with some refurbished decor. My only problem with the hotel is that the thermostat does not work. Room was freezing 66 F. It was below my level of comfort in mid August. I had to check out early with no refunds.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Stanford. Only thing I would change is the breakfast. The option for hot food was grits and Vienna sausages in a crockpot. We just ended up finding a diner few blocks away, but that’s two $60 meals you didn’t plan for. Other than that the place was great, staff was amazing, 5 stars, will definitely stay again.

The hotel was in a convenient location near Penn Station. Whilst superficially clean the doors and furniture were sticky and needed a good clean. The rooms were somewhat dated and the hairdryer did not work. We were on the 4 Th floor and it was very noisy. There is only one small lift which is not enough for a hotel of this size. It was virtually import get a lift and we ended up carrying suitcases down the stairs. Stairs were dirty

Decent Hotel

Hotel was not bad. Service was nice and helpful & the location is a good area. Close to numerous transportations. However, depending on your preference for pillow and mattress firmness, it wasn’t good for me. The pillows are just to soft and the mattress felt old. Also, the TV only has limited channels. No local news or shows to watch. Given it’s a hotel in NYC area, I would think some local news/shows would have been nice. Overall, it was not bad.

Location. Location. Location! Central to many things. And a subway stop right next to the hotel. Problems with air conditioning made my sleep less than ideal. Otherwise. Affordable downtown NYC in Koreatown. So,good food nearby.

They didn’t vacuum in two days ,they cleaned the restroom put clean towels. I had to let them know. The customer service was 50% . There was 2 black tiny flies that were biting me. The breakfast was not appetizing no oatmeal, no eggs ,no bacon or sausage. Other Hotels offer more varieties for breakfast. I wouldn’t recommend this Hotel to anyone.

Hotel was clean and our room was really big. However they never made up our room in between nights. There is also one elevator for the entire hotel and it is tiny. This is a super busy area so if you want quiet it’s not a good spot.

Hotel was located a twenty minute walk from Times Square, super eaay to walk to most sights, and a aubway station just outside. Room was a good size, comfy beds and toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was good with cold options, bagels and toast and plenty of coffee and juice (although very busy as located in a small bar area).
