Pleasant staff, doorman!, great location close to MSG & Times Square. Subway stop very close by. Our room was very comfortable. The included breakfast was adequate. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute. We will definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay if you are spending a weekend in New York and just need a bed. It's tired but clean. Breakfast is kinda crazy - not enough room for the people they have but it's a good enough meal to start the day

I recently stayed at Hotel Stanford in New York City and overall had a good experience. The hotel is decent for the area — it’s in a great, central location close to a lot of attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. The lobby makes a strong first impression with its modern look and feel — it’s clean, stylish, and welcoming. However, once you leave the lobby, the rest of the hotel definitely shows its age. The hallways and rooms feel a little ancient, with older furnishings and decor that could use some updating. That said, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Manhattan with a convenient location and don’t mind a bit of old-school charm, Hotel Stanford is a solid choice.

Great hotel with benefits!

This hotel exceeded our expectations! Clean and comfortable; very nice breakfast with fruit, cereal, breads and salad. The greatest asset is that it is four doors away from a major subway line. The neighborhood is lovely with restaurants and a park with seating. We felt very safe. The staff was very kind and allowed us to leave our luggage prior to and after our visit. The only inconvenience that was not a major problem is that the hotel has only one small elevator for 12 floors that holds only about 6 people (with no luggage) at its maximum. We would definitely stay there again in the future!

Pros- Location- we loved this area- lots of fun, dining options, easy access to all the places we wanted to walk to and very easy access to subway. The staff was kind, but overwhelmed. Cons- NO AIR CONDITIONING - they say it’s there but it doesn’t work, they said they fixed it, but it didn’t work after they “fixed it” twice. We had a very hard time getting any sleep it was so hot in our room. No ice machines We would definitely stay in this area again, but not at this hotel.
