Leelanau elopement
Posted May 22, 2024 on HomeAwayWhen my bride and I entered the property, our first reaction was ‘Wowwww.’ The view is truly breathtaking. The cabin is gorgeous with a ton of character and all the essentials. The grounds are beautiful and secluded. Cannot overemphasize how gorgeous this property is.
The host was the best I’ve ever had at a rental property. She was communicative, kind, thoughtful, and prompt. She went well out of her way to make our stay special.

Awesome rustic cabin

A perfect escape

The location is both isolated and easy to reach, with complete privacy, quiet, spectacular views, and freedom from the continuous pressures of an anxious world. We feel fortunate to have been able to enjoy this refuge, and very much hope to visit again.

Mini Moon Dream
Posted Oct. 6, 2023 on HomeAwayWe are absolutely in love with everything! The location is so beautiful and was an amazing location our our mini moon! It was so nice to unplug and be able to enjoy everything! The beach was amazing and relaxing, and we highly recommend getting the app Marine Traffic like Kate recommends. We had so much fun watching all the boat traffic go by and learning about them. Everything was perfect for us and our mini moon and we can’t wait to plan our next trip back!

Beautiful and Peaceful Property

The perfect location for getting away, disconnecting, and slowing life down a little. The property is clean, well kept, and is on an absolutely beautiful setting.

Hidden gem!
Posted Aug. 21, 2023 on HomeAwayThis beautiful cottage overlooking Lake Michigan is definitely unique. The outdoor deck features the most impressive views of Lake Michigan. Kate was very impressive. She answered all our questions and made our stay even better. I would highly recommend this property.

A Week Away
Posted Jul. 28, 2023 on HomeAwayEverything was perfect! Just what we needed. The cabin was spotless and Kate and Bill were very welcoming and right on top of things. We saw eagles several times fly right by the cabin. We enjoyed every minute we were there. We left feeling relaxing and reenergized!

Posted Jul. 18, 2023 on HomeAwayThe views from the main floor, along with the sense that this is a real cottage, not a suburban home that happens to be on the lake, is what makes this place so special. It's the perfect blend of open and airy, but the rich wood walls are so cozy. This place knows and honors is history but provided just enough of the modern amenities to make it perfect in our opinion. It's true that the path to the beach is long, and once there, it's entirely rocks. It's beautiful and secluded, but there's no beach walking or real way to fish from the shore. There are sandy beaches just a short drive away. The hosts were fantastic. So helpful and thoughtful. We just loved it and appreciate their willingness to share this gem with others. The town of Northport is a 4 minute drive and we loved that too. Smaller than Leland etc. but big enough and not crowded. It was a fantastic stay!

Hidden gem!
Posted Jul. 4, 2023 on HomeAwayFoxview Cottage was everything we expected: Remote location on the lake, sweeping views, and unique home with true character. Kids loved hiking up and down the trail to the lake. We relaxed on the deck and appreciated the quiet. Kate was so welcoming, telling us the story of the cottage. Brought a SUP board to find the shipwreck and we did!
