Rock Haven at North Street, Wooded Cabin Retreat in Old Forge, NY

Rock Haven at North Street is a newly built cabin, situated on 11 wooded acres in the Adirondack Park. This gorgeous home is less than a mile and a half from the center of Old Forge, where you'll find countless small town shops, restaurants, and more. The house is one mile from Enchanted Forest Water Safari, making this the perfect family getaway. The scenic North Branch of the Moose River is a quarter of a mile down the road, proving great opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. Hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails go right by the end of the driveway, making for the ideal setting for a winter snowmobile retreat. These trails turn into hiking and biking paths in the summer months.

An open floor plan, three bedrooms and three full baths make this rental ideal for those who want to stay in the same cozy house with each other, without sacrificing privacy. A fully finished walk-out basement includes a bedroom with queen-sized bed, a living area, a full bathroom, and laundry facilities. The main level includes a bedroom with queen-sized bed, full bathroom, and a cozy open floor plan with kitchen, dining area, and living room, complete with a wood burning stove. The lofted upstairs has another bedroom with queen-sized bed, a full bathroom, and a loft area with a twin trundle bed for extra sleeping areas. Blankets & pillows are included for all beds; guests just need to bring their own sheets, bathroom towels, and any paper products.

The home has a beautiful covered porch, where you can sit and drink your morning coffee while listening to the birds, or enjoy a cocktail in the evenings and relax after a full day. An open deck with chairs provides space to sit in the sun and soak up the wooded views that surround the cabin. An outdoor fire pit is the perfect spot to gather, roast marshmallows, and visit with family and friends.

Even while inside, the many windows in this home allow you to feel as though you are surrounded by the peaceful woods. No neighbors are in sight, making this the ideal private location, without sacrificing the convenience of being close to town. But we loved it. Thank you for the covered porch gave us a dry outdoor experience. I loved that a lot of thought went into building this gorgeous home. My husband loved the mud room. I promise we never made it muddy! Great place to come in and get out of your outdoor clothes. His other favorite was the outdoor fire pit! Great idea to supply dry bundled seasoned wood for fires! Gladly paid for the convenience of not paying the price at the store. We have stayed in the Adirondack area for years and we love this place. Grill was great, beds extremely comfortable. Water pressure in the upstairs bathroom is excellent! The seclusion of this house only a couple of miles from downtown is very convenient. We saw absolutely no sign of animals on the property! Really enjoyed the one late afternoon outside fire we had. Kitchen well equipped, Daikers is a must! We hope the weather is better next year! Thank you so much Ryan and Catherine for a beautiful home for our vacation. See you next year 😁🍁

Everything was very nice. Location is good. Kitchen was supplied well - you just need to be sure that you know to bring sheets/towels/toiletries which was fine as we drove there. If you were flying in for a vacation stay that would be a little difficult. Communication with the owner was very good which is always very important. I would recommend this property.
