Posted Mar. 15, 2024 on HomeAwayOverall, it serves its purpose, placed midway between Pagosa and Wolf Creek. Plenty of amenities, enough to cook and eat. Big drawbacks were lack of seating in the living room with max capacity of 12, essentially 2 love seats and a rocker. TVs were small and only in the living spaces. Highly recommend getting a Keurig, other than that, pretty nice place.

family trip
Posted Feb. 24, 2024 on HomeAwaytook the entire family on this trip. we had toddlers under 2yrs, adults and pre-teens. We did end up buying a baby gate for the stairs. we loved the house and the location was perfectly situated between the town and wolf creek ski resort. Loved this cute little town- looked like something out of a Hallmark movie. We will definitely make another trip here!

It was a fine stay
Posted Jan. 11, 2024 on HomeAwayGreat location, nice layouts of rooms. Only 4 private rooms with common space in basement and common space upstairs. For the price, it was fine. I’ve stayed in some nicer places, but they are a lot more expensive. Kitchen was nicely stocked for cooking meals together, and the fireplace kept us nice and warm inside.

Posted Dec. 30, 2023 on HomeAwayProperty location is good. Easy access to wolf creek and Pagosa. Property met our needs. There is a roof leak. It sleeps 8 adults comfortably. Carpet has stains. I’d remove carpet and replace with solid floors.
There were disposable diapers in the driveway, beer can/bottles in the yard.

Family vacation
Posted May 24, 2023 on HomeAwayWe had a wonderful time and the house was comfortable. We took a lot of picture to remember our time there and brought a piece of wood home to add to our decorations and remind us of all the great times we shared there. We want to go back again in the summertime when the slides are open and more of the trails too. One of the people in our group was very afraid of spiders and that was the only problem we had because there were quite a few small spiders but after we searched and killed them she was fine. I think because it was the off season they just had not had it sprayed recently.

Very nice and enjoyable!
Posted Mar. 16, 2023 on HomeAwayThe house can comfortably sleep 12 people and is well stocked. There were a couple of items that were broken (futon and toilet seat) and property owner was very responsive and helpful to fix items requested. Only difficulty was navigating the steep semi circle dirt drive. It rained and snowed while we were there so 4-wheel drive is really a must. Overall very nice house and responsive and engaged property owner. Would definitely stay again!

Pros: Location was great for hitting up Wolf Creek and running into town to shop & go to the hot springs. The house was clean with plenty of blankets, pillows & towels. The local property manager that I dealt with throughout our stay was very helpful and pleasant to deal with!
Cons: We flipped a breaker and the breaker box was behind a locked door. It was understandable that they needed some of their personal belongings locked away from visitors, but it made getting heat back to those rooms difficult until we got help from the property manager. The beds were not very comfortable (either hard or lumpy). There were multiple light bulbs out that hadn’t been replaced. The shower downstairs would get warm but never hot (even though the faucet downstairs would).
Note: Several times throughout our stay 4x4 was necessary to get up the drive way.
