Not ideal for older clients. 5 stairs into facility with no handrails and very long winding stairway to upstairs bedroom then 2 steps down into bathroom. My husband is 88 and Iâm 76 so not the place for us.
A lot of history in the house to share with guests. When we arrived no staff were present to great us or give us a room key. Luckily, I knocked on several doors and one of the guests reluctantly opened the door and helped me get in touch with management to get the key. As their standard practice is to email guests in advance to tell them where their room key is located and arrange a breakfast time the next day. So no staff at the location until breakfast just the guests in the house. The other two couples/guests were very nice. The breakfast was great! The house is about 10+ miles out of town so a little difficult to find but it all worked out and we enjoyed the stay.
Our Denny House stay was perfect. The innkeeper happened to be at the home when he arrived. She was so nice to talk to and told us much about the 1840 built home. She suggested a restaurant in Berea, The Honeysuckle, and it was amazing! One of the best dinners weâve had in ages. Our breakfast prepared by Amy, the innkeeper, was also outstanding.
We will be back for a stay someday.
Fan in our room was filthy. Dead bugs on the floor of the bathroom. Sink in the bathroom didnât drain well.
I have stayed at many B&Bs and unfortunately this is not one that I would recommend.
It was a lovely property. The free water was a nice bonus, as were the welcome cocktails (although I am not a bourbon or whiskey drinker, my husband enjoyed it). We brought our own preferred cocktails but there wasn't enough ice. The place was neatly kept and the rooms were large. The bed was heavenly. The innkeeper was kind and attentive. The breakfast was good.
I have stayed here multiple times because of the beautiful old house in a quiet rural setting. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and breakfast is scrumptious. I feel at home.
This property is a restored house with 3 rooms on a second floor with no elevator so itâs not for everyone but perfect for me. It is quiet and beautiful with a sumptuous breakfast. Innkeeper Vicky is outstanding.
the Denny House was a great place to stay. Secluded and very Quiet. it felt like we had the house to our self.
breakfast was delicious, 100% home cooked with farm fresh ingredients, served on Fine China. we defiantly plan to return when our adventures take us that way again.
An unique experience to stay at this mansion, nice deco, bedding is supper nice and clean. Very relaxing and comfortable! Vicky the host also served 3 courses breakfast in a classy manner. Thank you Vicky for the warm hospitality!
