Decent stay for a night or two in Panjim
Posted Nov. 11, 2019 on HotelsAfter a small delay at check in (the hotel was unable to find my booking at first) I was soon taken to my room.
All the staff were very friendly and helped me when I needed it. The breakfast staff were especially friendly.
The room was ok - it was pretty much i what I expected for an oldish hotel in India.
The location is very close to the river and the centre is all within walking distances.

But on the flip side, being next to the coast means there is a chance constant drone of the noise made by the casino ships at the harbor. It has the decor reminiscent of an old era but unfortunately it hasn’t been maintained so the rooms are average with gaudy interiors and some plumbing issues. They make up for this by providing good staff however. The staff is cordial and cooperative!

Had booked this stay for a friend. When he reached the hotel and showed the confirmation from hotels.com the guy at the front desk said that there was no booking received, this is absolutely ridiculous. he made them make a fresh booking with the hotel directly.

Really cool vintage building and vibe. Priced very well, good value for the money. That said, the facilities overall are a bit tired...

Historic hotel on the river and close to down town
Posted Jan. 13, 2017 on ExpediaGreat decor and architecture. Right across the road from river with restaurant on the river. Staff very helpful and good breakfast. Easy walk to Panjim sights, restaurants and shops.
