"The house was stocked with food, filtered water, chocklate, juice, lotions, sunscreen, anything you might need. Kai fixed anything wrong immediately and gave us fruit daily. The location is the best for attractions & snorkeling. The house is very dpacious. The only thing wrong is that Kay's place made the next place i went to very disappointing because i was used to such a great host, space, and check in."

"The house was the perfect size for a group of 8 adults and one child. The walking distance to Manini Beach and Kealakekua Bay was the best. We were also only a ten minute drive to two step and some more amazing snorkeling. Took some time adjusting to the bugs (this is jungle atmosphere after all!) But overall we adapted quickly and loved it. The pwner was super responsive. Grandson loved the geckos!"

"I've travelled a lot over the last 4 decades and Kona Palace has the best view of any property I've stayed in. It is cozy and secluded and it was amazing just to sit on the patio and watch the sun come up from the side of a mountain! The surrounding foliage is beautiful and the accomodations are comfortable. The cherry on top was finding we had a hot tub!"

From the lush landscaping and breathtaking views, to the homes comfortable and clean accomodations our expectations were surpassed on all accounts. "The location is great as long as you have a car for the short trips to town and the ocean. Check in was easy, just keep in touch and it's easy.The fresh mangoes and abundant colorful bird activity were highlights. Even though not in the listing, there were a variety of snorkel gear in good shape for use, along with chairs and beach towels. There's also a blender for use in making fruity rum drinks (or others as you wish).The screened deck area was where we spent most of our time watching the wildlife and being more in nature. The owner is responsive to reports of any issues, and we enjoyed talking to him. Be sure to set your expectations accordingly. This isn't some fancy resort where everything is new and shiny. There is plenty of "character" in the cottage, from the many different light switches, to eclectic furniture and nick knacks. It's a small farm cottage, so enjoy it for being just that!With this in mind, we really enjoyed our time here and are looking forward to a time when we can return. "
