A Peaceful Escape in Bali Highly Recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at Le Grand Bali! The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained. The staff were always kind and helpful, making me feel truly welcome. This is property is older and out of the way. You will need taxi, Grab or rent a scooter. It has two nice pools. Staff is very kind and friendly. Breakfast buffet has a large variety of mediocre quality food. We chose to rent a scooter and even though we did pay for breakfast to be included, we ate out after the first experience. The property is quiet however it felt like a back packers young persons hostel. I think because of the price point, people were staying here instead of the hostels in town. We were waken each of our 5 nights at 2;30/3 am of people coming back from their night out. This isn’t a terrible hotel. You need to keep in mind the price point. It was safe, there is a restaurant, 2 pools, pool bar and gym. The staff do all the can control to make you happy and it’s cheap.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, it’s about 40 mins from the airport and 10 mins from dreamland beach. The hotel do free shuttles to and from the beach but only 3x per day. The room was nice but we did find a big cockroach in the bathroom on one of the nights and there was also a lot of hair in the shower the night we checked in (not belonging to us), so it was obvious that the shower had not been cleaned to a proper standard. The restaurant had good food and was reasonably priced and the staff were friendly.

Absolutely great

All though the weather wasn’t the best. The facility was great as there were pool table, table tennis. Swimming pools were great. Breakfast was excellent and best croissant ever had on a breakfast buffet.

Pretty standard. A good place to stay with very friendly staff. The food in the hotel is very expensive and the portions were not big. It’s slightly dated and could do with more channels on the tv and or access to Netflix. The pool is lovely and it was very clean. They also give you free toiletries.

The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful. However, as a five star hotel, there are certain expectations that patrons will have - clean and well maintained buildings, appropriate room allotment, etc. While Le Grande failed to meet those expectations, that was not the most disappointing part. This was - the bathroom in my room had no hot water and the water pressure was abysmal. I requested for a room change which was sidelined entirely and people were sent to repair the water temp but to no avail. (I had booked for a Deluxe Double or Twin Room. I’d made the personalised request to be given a double bed. They gave me a twin room anyway.) Under any other circumstances, I’d have gladly paid for my stay in full and not asked for a reimbursement. But having a functioning bathroom with hot water and good water pressure is a bare minimum. 2 star hotels have had better water temp and pressure than here. The property refused to reimburse me citing hotel policies. I wish that they applied the same policies to hotel maintenance. To the hotel management, the guest is NOT always right, but when a guest up and leaves due to lack of action or maintenance of hotel facilities, then please take the matter seriously. You’re not affecting just a guest’s experience with your hotel but you’re also affecting their set schedule around their holiday. I hope the appropriate measures are taken to avoid a situation like this again.

Would definitely stay again.

Excellent hotel, very attentive staff, excellent facilities. Only drawback, since it is a golf course also, one cannot really walk anywhere so you need a taxi every time you want to leave.
