Did not realise the pub music would be so loud and vibrate through to the rooms upstairs....until late at night....as well as the patrons. No private/separate area to check in. Check in was at the bar. Room was nice enough, but definitely only surface clean! Fine for what it was but unlikely I would stay at this accommodation again.

Not a big fan of the stairs when carrying several items of luggage,and getting to the residential area of the hotel from the car park was a bit of a hike. All in all tho was pretty good value for money. I would stay there again.

All very good untill person in room 1 (next door, with boarded up connecting door) turned on his tv. It was still on when we got up at 5am to go to hospital admissions at S.J.O.G hospital. Just unlucky I guess. Some people!

The Civic Hotel is good value for money if you are looking for somewhere to stay overnight and on the cheap. Room is comfy and clean. Staff are friendly and there is a pub downstairs. Close to supermarket, cafes, restaurants, public transport.
