The Neighborhood:
We are on Town Lake River in Tempe, Arizona near the Mill Avenue District, a local hotspot for dining, shopping and entertainment. Situated just 11 miles outside of Phoenix and 4 miles outside of Scottsdale, Tempe is a vibrant city all its own with beautifully landscaped parks, botanical gardens, and wildlife preserves such as the Hayden Butte Preserve. You can also enjoy the close proximity to the Phoenix Zoo, Scottsdale Civic Center, Tempe Diablo Stadium, and Kiwanis Park.

Getting Around:
Ideally located close to different attractions, there are definitely a lot of options getting around the area!

Other Things to Note:
Please know that all CozySuites properties are smoke-free environments. Smoking, of any kind, is not permitted within or outside of our suites, including balconies, patios, or common and/or parking areas. Please know that any sign of smoking is a violation of our stay agreement, which may result in immediate termination and recovery fees beginning at $500.

To abide by all legal requirements and HOA rules, you WILL be asked to provide a copy of your official government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact information, pass through our verification portal and, in some instances, complete a criminal background check. Failure to provide these documents will result in a cancellation and denied entry.

Please be advised that all guests will be asked to sign a rental usage agreement that governs the terms of the stay. By completing the reservation you agree to the following:
- You agree to be bound by our rental terms and conditions.
- You acknowledge that you will be required to provide a copy of a valid government-issued ID and matching credit card prior to check-in.
- You acknowledge that you may be required to undergo a background check if mandated by the property management company or the building, as stated in accordance with your rental agreement and condition of the booking.

Minimum age requirement of primary person booking should be:
1. 22 years old for out of town guests
2. 25 years old for local guests


No weapons or drugs allowed; zero tolerance means police will be called for violating this rule.

Noise policy: Guests must agree to not disturb neighbors at all times during the stay. In addition, guests must agree to observe quiet hours from 9pm-8am each day. The home is proactively monitored with decibel sensors for compliance with this noise policy.

Long-term stays (30 days+): Long-term guests will be subject to a background search and credit check.

Note that all guests are required to submit a $200 security hold on a credit card in case of incidentals that is released 3-5 days post check out or may choose a $35 non-refundable damage waiver.

Dirty but good location

Immediately upon arrival I noticed how dirty the place is. A very gross smell (maybe just cheap cleaning products) - walls are dirty, couch is dirty, and don’t get me started on the carpets…. those need immediate replacement. However, the location is great, and the communication is very quick. Also only 1 roll of toliet paper for 6 nights. lol. Don’t park in the big lot overnight- you only have the small lot or the garage.

Awesome! At first instructions are confusing, the call box doesn't appear to do anything for you. The fob is in the room so we walked to the Leasing Office and they told us we could get to our room through there, which we did. Once inside with fob in hand all was good. The shower on/off handle is very stiff and doesn't appear to work real well. The toilet roll holder falls off it's holder all the time, annoying in the middle of the night. Loved everything else! Thanks!

Great time in Tempe/Scottsdale

Our stay at this Vela property worked out very well. The location was perfect for our time exploring Tempe, Phoenix, Scottsdale and Mesa areas. The apartment complex was very secure and offered nice outdoor spaces and pool for our use. We had a couple of questions and the cozy suite staff responded immediately. We apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
