Great location and easy access to the beach and to fishing. The house was quiet and nice sandy streets with very little traffic. The big screened deck was lovely. The house could use a little "love". It needs more chairs in the living room with coffee tables and lamps. The lighting was not great. The bedrooms, particularly bunk room, could use some hooks and shelves for clothing. The kitchen has a fair amount of cooking pots/pans, but the silverware and cooking spoons etc. were pretty lacking. These shortcomings did not overwhelm our visit. We really enjoyed it all.
Super easy to communicate with the property manager, great boat access on the canal, quiet and comfortable place. A tip for future guests- even more enjoyable for the area if you bring a boat/ golf cart! Overall great experience.
At least being on an island you donât have to worry about a crowded beach, we enjoyed that. You just need to plan to bring what you need to avoid paying for additional trips on ferry to get on and off island. The house could use some updates, there are maintenance issues that need to be addressed. The A/C does not properly cool master bedroom on top floor so there is an additional portable a/c unit that does not help much and gets very warm by mid afternoon and not real cool at night. Tried to fill jacuzzi tub in bathroom but water leaks down side and onto floor so could not use. Glad we brought the boat so we could visit other areas. Enjoyed that part but this was a one and done trip for us and we will not return to this property.
We had a fantastic time! Beds were super comfy. Super easy to pull boat up to property. House is beachy on the outside and cabin like on the inside. We would definitely stay again.
Garbage around the property including in front-yard. No lights upon entry - pitch black. Key did not work in lock - back door open. Smelled very musty. Was over 80 degrees in the house upon arrival. No soaps for shower. Dirty shower curtain. Significant sand and dirt in couch. Pictures on VRBO are from many years ago, the furniture and paint are very old now. No sponge in kitchen. Could not find any garbage bags (last day we found a small box in laundry room). Cabinets and drawers were very dirty. Several glasses and dishes were dirty and had dried on food on them. Dishwasher smelled. There was a bin of used grease in the sugar holder. The only TV is tiny and would not connect to WIFI - do not think it was a smart TV. Bunk bed mattresses are so old they are disintegrating. Surprisingly, the other two bedrooms are nice and roomy and felt clean. Upstairs air conditioning is an in-room unit with a pipe out the window. Would not stay on and beeped all night. Overall - bad. Would not recommend.
