For larger groups (up to 10) all three of our units on the immediate property may be reserved. The other two are; OAK ALLEY - vrbo.com/1521849 and PORTHOLE - vrbo.com/3625064.

Sorry, but the SMALL PRINT needs to come next - The base price is for the initial one or two guests. Additional guests -INCLUDING CHILDREN OF ANY AGE - are charged at $50 per person, per night. Undeclared additional guests are charged at $100 per person, per night, charged through VRBO as "additional guest" and due immediately. THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS incur an additional charge of $200 due upon arrival. The external portions of the space (Front/Back yard, and walkways)are covered by security cameras to ensure the safety and integrity of the property. Use of the Sauna is shared with the unit on the alley (OAK ALLEY) and with the owners who live on the main floor. Instructions are on the Sauna and is "first come first served". The apartment and general grounds are SMOKE FREE and are not 420 friendly. There are three living units in this house: CZZ, the upstairs apt., The main floor where the hosts (owners) live, and PORTHOLE in the basement, another VRBO. Due to their proximity, Quiet Times are from 10PM to 7AM.

NOW FOR THE GOOD STUFF. Chez ZigZag is an upstairs apartment accessed from 204 S Oak St. It has a delightful view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca , Victoria, B.C., Mt. Baker and assorted ocean going vessels. The activity of the harbor is always changing. Over 60 different types of boats and ships can be seen regularly.

"Chez" (pronounced "shay") is French for "at the home of", and "ZigZag" is derived from the locally named ‘zigzag’ walkway that connects the home to the downtown area. Chez ZigZag is within easy walking distance of: downtown and an excellent organic grocery "Country Aire", Field Arts And Event Center, and Safeway / Starbucks, the Coho Ferry and Hollywood Beach/ Discovery Trail head. Downtown also boasts a wide variety of excellent restaurants - all just a short walk away.

Guests have access to either the front patio with its clear "Dome-a-cile", the rear covered patio in the back, and the Sauna. Chez ZigZag offers a memorable home away from home, stocked with everything you could want or need for a wonderful visit to Port Angeles. The owners live on the main level and are eager to make sure your stay is the very best. Why stay anywhere else! Come and see.

More than expected

This VRBO was the perfect place to stay. The space felt much more spacious in person than the photos portray. We also enjoyed the outdoor space and the hosts were kind and helpful. The house is perfectly walkable to downtown and a great jumping off point for our adventures in the Olympic national park. We spent so much time enjoying watching the boats drive through - such a treat for two Kansas gals. We could not recommend this stay enough. Thank you so much for everything!

Chez ZigZag is gorgeous! The views are fantastic. We walked down the zigzag stairs to downtown- a grocery store is right at the bottom of the steps and the ferry to Victoria is an easy 10 minute walk. If you put “James View Point” into your phone you’ll have no problem finding this place. High end everything- they have a clear geodesic dome in their yard/garden as an extra living room. We met the owner and he was very helpful and friendly. We had a fantastic time. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We loved the house. It was cozy with beautiful views and lots of natural light. We enjoyed a fire in the outdoor fireplace one evening. The hosts had already prepared the wood. We just had to light it. Sitting in the dome was cool too. It was a quick walk to downtown for shopping or getting a coffee. We had a great time and wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely and well-equipped!

Chez Zig Zag is just as lovely as it looks in the photos, and we had a wonderful stay.The highlights:- Beautifully soft sheets (I'm kicking myself for not checking the tag to see where they were from).- The most functionally-equipped kitchen I've seen in a vacation rental.- Gorgeous natural light - we barely used the lights in the bathroom and didn't even notice the light switches for the kitchen until right before we left.- Radiant-heated flooring in the bathroom.- The thoughtfully-curated book of recommendations from Amy and Brent.The only downside for us was that the bedroom with the blue floral curtains was susceptible to a belltower somewhere nearby chiming the hours overnight, and to early sunlight through the gaps in the curtains on the east-facing window. The sound issue was easily solved by deploying the white-noise setting on an iPhone overnight, and the sunlight is just a seasonal thing to be aware of (sunrise isn't always at 5:30am!).We would definitely pick the same spot again, it was a wonderful home base for a few days.

Wonderful Weekend In Port Angles

Amazing place to stay. The upstairs apartment is spacious and cozy! My partner and I loved all the natural light it gets. Amy and Brent are amazing host, I may have accidental locked myself out of the VRBO but they were super responsive and help me get back in right away along with sharing a friendly conversation. From the great hosts and perfect location, you can't do any better than staying at the Chez ZigZag!

This is a lovely place: great location, quiet, wonderful view, and tasteful decor. Beds, bedding and towels are quality. The patio and fireplace are great for relaxing while enjoying the splendid view. If you’re wondering how to fix up your top floor, ask Amy and Brent! This is a charming redo of their top floor. Heated bathroom floor! Great views from the living room and kitchen (which is fully stocked)! Comfy beds (2). Wished we’d stayed longer!

We had a truly enjoyable stay at this property! From start to finish, everything was seamless, and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Wonderful place to stay. Great location, walking distance to shopping, so you don't have to worry about parking. Very clean and nicely decorated. Nice little touches...my favorite was the heated bathroom floor! Bed was very comfortable and had a variety of pillows to choose from. The view is great! Already booked for next year!

A great stay in the OP

Clean, bright, everything was very comfortable - couch, chairs, and beds. You can tell they work in real estate because the place is so well appointed. Simple but obviously they thought it through. We didn’t have much interaction but the few times we talked to them, they were very friendly and helpful. I especially loved using the sauna. This is a great location to walk downtown and also to use as a base camp for going into the national park.

Good Location and Great View

The VRBO is the upper floor of a home and gave us great views of Port Angeles. Kitchen had all that was needed for cooking and beds were comfortable. Would stay again.
