The one-of-a-kind Villa Jamille is a beautiful and light-filled home built in the classic and inspiring Jamaican Georgian style of architecture. The home and cottage have been professionally designed and feature park-like grounds & gardens in order to create a most memorable and exquisite vacation unlike any other.

From the home, looking out to the sea, there are *no* other houses or edifices visible, only the lush green rainforest of Jamaica`s idyllic Portland Parish and the Caribbean sea beyond. Enjoy complete privacy and absolute serenity from our magnificent villa where many notable individuals have stayed and visited including John Legend, Koffee, Drake, Tarrus Riley, IzyBeats, Daniel Craig, the producers of the Bond films, and more (fun fact, James Bond`s only `home` ever featured in all the Bond films was shot a mere five minutes from us on Unity Bay!).

In addition, our full-time staff is immensely friendly and professional, ready to help when needed, or unobtrusive if you prefer.

As to the property, it features a main villa complete with five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a pool, sauna, numerous dining terraces, as well as a separate fully-equipped and designed cottage at the lower level of the grounds with its own kitchen, living room, dining terrace and full bathroom.

The main house is two stories with each bedroom containing a balcony or large terrace and gardens leading out from the downstairs bottom bedroom terraces.

The first (main) floor of the home has a large indoor-outdoor living room featuring two handmade down & feather-filled sofas from Cisco Home in Los Angeles, locally-made teak coffee and side tables, as well as Moroccan bone inlay side tables. French windows and louvered doors make for an entirely nostalgic yet brilliantly restored Caribbean dream aesthetic & setting.

Also on the first floor is a huge eat-in chef`s kitchen featuring all Viking appliances (including ice maker and warming oven), teak cabinetry, carrera marble countertops from Italy, and a large cantilevered kitchen island which extends the whole way of the kitchen providing seating for 8 at the end near the louvered doors leading to the outdoor covered dining terrace.

Outside from the living room and kitchen is a covered dining terrace with Kettal lounge furniture from Spain and a Barlow Tyrie extendable teak dining table which can seat up to 12. There is also another Barlow Tyrie high-top teak dining table that seats up to 8 equipped with its own canvas parasol.

It is also here that the beautiful pink, white, and black checkerboard marble dining terrace floor meets the limestone pool and pool deck which features 2 oversize Kettal lounge beds and 4 Serena & Lily teak pool loungers each with their own pull-out attached side table.

Off of the kitchen and adjacent to the outdoor terraces and pool is a large cedar sauna and cedar half bathroom for ease of use going in and out of the pool (we love it when it rains at Jamille because the sauna is such a lovely treat!).

Also present on the main floor are the first three bedrooms. Take the `Hemingway` hallway to the very end and you`ll find the master bedroom which features a hand-carved and locally-made cedar four-poster king bed. Also present in the room is a full terrace with lounge set-up and a teak dining table for four overlooking the sea. The master also features an en-suite outdoor shower, clawfoot tub, and limestone double vanity sink making for an exceptionally luxurious stay.

The other two bedrooms on this floor both contain queen-size beds and en-suite private marble or limestone bathrooms as well as balconies overlooking the ocean and Malawi Cane wicker lounge chairs as well as full closets and drawers for your ease of use.

The lower floor of the main villa contains two bedrooms, each with king-size beds and full indoor living rooms complete with a wicker sofa, lounge chairs, and coffee table. Each bedroom also has a large private terrace complete with Malawi Cane lounge seating and a dining setup for four. Both bedrooms also have their own private marble or limestone full bath.

On the lower floor is also the continuation of the pink, black, and white checkerboard Italian marble tiling in the billiards room. There is a bar present in the room as well as vintage Jamaican travel posters, Hassan Hajjaj Moroccan seating, and a large-scale painting by the California artist Betty Kay Kendrick.

Throughout the house, each bedroom is equipped with 100% cotton percale bedding, down comforters & pillows, as well as handmade Gregory Parkinson Indian cotton & Ikat blankets and local crafts and decor found or designed on island. Each bed in the home as well as all nightstands are hand-made and hand-carved by local Port Antonio craftsmen using sustainably-derived Jamaican cedar.

The house, cottage, and grounds feature many other lovely little surprise seating areas for inspired conversation and awe of the natural Jamaican beauty and rainforest, one of the largest in the Caribbean.

The main villa as well as cottage all contain a mix of extraordinary antiques, vintage, and locally and internationally-derived art and decor.

The house and cottage were professionally restored and designed by ZZ Driggs and Industry Standard Co. out of New York, NY and the Hudson Valley as well as many supremely talented local master craftsmen and women of Jamaica.

To take care of you and your guests during your stay, we have an amazing and well-trained full-time staff who are lovely: our Head of Operations and Guest Services, Nicola, our Housekeepers/Hostesses, Adriana and Tamara, our Groundskeeper, Mr. Dixon, and our incredible chef (who works with us part-time when we host dinners), Terri.

While we (the owners) do not live on the property full-time, we are available by phone (voice, text, or WhatsApp) at any time, and our staff are always ready, willing, and able to assist whenever & however needed.

San San is a gorgeous and secluded area of Port Antonio filled with old storied estates from the Errol Flynn days of the 1950s, to the luxe & sleek contemporary villas of today.

Many notable entertainers, musicians, and actors have stayed both in our home and in the surrounding villas and Geejam Hotel (due to their wold-class recording studio). We are good friends with the owners of Geejam Hotel & Studio, and they always so kindly accommodate our guests if desired (with room service / food brought to the villa, or using the Geejam private beach, arranging a tour of the recording studio, etc.).

We also have a bunch of recommendations, activities, and excursions that we can share if you choose to make the booking! Port Antonio, and Portland in general, is truly one of the most special places in the world, and spending some time here reveals so much of what makes Jamaica an incredible nation.

In addition to being less than a ten minute walk (or a few minutes drive) to the amazing Frenchman`s Cove beach, we are a seven minute walk (or a few minutes drive) to the private Geejam Beach, which is also a fantastic perk for our guests. We are friends with the owners of the renowned Geejam Hotel just down the road from us, so our guests are allowed to use their facilities. :)

As for transportation, we can arrange for a trusted driver we love to pick up you and your group from the Kingston airport and bring you directly to our villa if you would like. For getting around town and going on excursions, we work with a lovely trusted local driver who knows the surrounding area well. He is a local & lovable Port Antonio driver and his prices are very reasonable.

If you choose to rent a car there is parking at the villa and all around Port Antonio (just be aware that driving is on the left side of the road in Jamaica!).

MEALS:

Our team is happy to cook & serve amazing meals for your group as you wish! We will provide our full menu for breakfast ($20 USD per person), lunch ($30 USD per person), and dinner ($50 USD per person) for you to choose from. Groceries for the meals are included in the price at no additional charge. We can cook American-style meals but we recommend letting us dazzle you with the luscious flavors of Jamaican cuisine, from fresh fruit & juices to ackee & saltfish to callaloo stew chicken to curry goat to rice & peas to the world-famous jerk chicken. Our team handles cheffing, grocery runs, service, and cleanup for a full service restaurant-grade hospitality experience, in the comfort of your own private villa. We are happy to co-create a customized menu for your stay, or let our team surprise & delight you.

You are also welcome to request specific grocery items for our staff to procure, and we are of course happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions you or your guests may have. As a courtesy, we also supply a light stocking of basic groceries and beverages for your enjoyment in the villa just prior your arrival at no additional charge.

HOUSEKEEPING:

Daily housekeeping is provided by our in-house staff, and this is included free of charge. The house is very well maintained and always kept in wonderful shape!

SECURITY:

As for security, we have dedicated security during the nighttime hours with a guard stationed at the house throughout the night. For what it’s worth, we have had the villa for several years now and have never once witnessed any crime or sketchy behavior in the area. Our neighborhood, San San, is known to be very safe and secure and even has its own police department.
