This is a beautiful spacious 3 BR/2.5 bath ocean-front home (2,600 sq ft) with a fully screened pool patio area housing a private pool, and Spa/Whirlpool (Please note: This is not a hot tub!) (There is a fee for heating and it will heat the entire pool and whirlpool area). There is a fish cleaning station.


The second floor offers a kitchen area; family area, breakfast nook; gulf side dining area; half bath and laundry room. There are ten foot ceilings and custom designed window louvres in the family area, while a furnished screened porch offers beach access to the white powder sands the Gulf of Mexico is famous for.


The third floor offers three spacious bedrooms, two of which provide access to a large, beach front porch with an incredible view of the beach and the Gulf. One bedroom has a king sized bed, one has a queen sized bed and the third is a queen over a king bunk. The second floor family area also provides a queen sized pull-out sofa and a twin pull out.


On top of the $250 credit towards Beach Gear, there is also a basketball net for you and your kids enjoyment.

We really enjoyed our time here! Gorgeous views! Our dogs loved being able to experience the beach. The house is so open, bright and had everything we needed. We saw dolphins every morning. Plenty of shells. Really great property to get away from the crowd and enjoy the beach. Thanks!

We had a wonderful week. The house was beautiful, the location was awesome and the pool was amazing especially after a day at the beach. Beds were comfy and furnishings were very nice. Sitting on the decks overlooking the ocean was so relaxing.

We loved this beach house and location to the beach. The only downfall for us was being right next to the river entering the gulf. We were hoping for clear blue water some of our stay, but the fact it was storming most days caused the water to not be clear. Overall everything was wonderful! Amazing views, plenty of space, and loved all the decks. There were a few maintenance issues that came up during our stay, and Coastal Joe and the maintenance team worked really hard to resolve them in a quick fashion. The house was overall very clean upon arrival. We did have a black bear visit and knock over the trash can two nights scattering trash all over the yard which is nobody’s fault at all, but maybe something to be aware of. This house is definitely on the pricey side, but extremely nice. I will also say there are a lot of stairs. Someone who is older or disabled may have a difficult time. It wasn’t too bad except when carrying all of our things in and packing up to come home. Again this was something we expected for a large beach house for being directly on the beach. We are highly appreciative of the pet friendly homeowners and beaches!

Great experience in a beautiful place

Management was top notch throughout the process and very communicative, even during off hours. The property is beautiful and the kids stayed busy all day, every day. The location is good. Far enough away that it's calm and quiet, but close enough to get things when needed. We would stay again.

This was our second time staying at this location and we absolutely love it. Only down side was we were expecting the pool to be heated like the last time we stayed and was informed that the heater and spa part of the pool didn’t work so it wasn’t usable during our stay in October.

Family Spring Break

The house was maintained and clean and all the furnishings were more than adequate(I'm picky). Walk off the back screened in porch onto the beach or jump into the screened in pool on the front of the house. A good variety of restaurants all within 10-15 minutes and a piggly wiggly in Port St. Joe. Not overcrowded but not in the middle of nowhere, just what we we were looking for in a family vacation.

Coastal Joe vacation

Overall it was a good stay. The only downside is the river/ stream that runs into the ocean close the property. Following a heavy rainfall it made the ocean water brown and murky.

Wonderful home and location

We brought our some and his friends down for spring break and it was perfect. Oceanfront property listening to the water was amazing and the boys could hang out at the beach and be in view for us not to worry about them. The pool was clean and also another great spot for them to hang out. The house was clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

House was great

We stayed here for the first week of October. The house itself was great for our family of 5 (2 adults, a 6 year old, a 2 year old, and an older large dog). I have no complaints. The beds were very comfortable (I did find a can of bedbug spray under a sink which scared me, but we didn’t have any problems). There was a bunk bed, but I would not recommend for younger children (my 6 year old was afraid to sleep up there). There are a lot of stairs, so I would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues. The pool was awesome, loved that it was screened in. You have your own boardwalk. We loved the remoteness of the property, we rarely saw anyone else on the beach! We saw sharks and dolphins, and found bear tracks in the dunes outside the house. We probably wouldn’t stay here again, but that has nothing to do with the house itself. The water was VERY dark and murky along this stretch of beach — like you cannot see to the bottom even where shallow — and we didn’t feel comfortable swimming in it (we saw other people in it though). The house is really close to a deep creek that flows into the ocean, and we saw several sharks feeding there, so I would not get in this water. It wasn’t a huge issue, because the state park’s blue clear water is a quick drive, but loading 2 sandy kids in a car was a pain for us so we would probably try to stay closer to the park next time.

Would go back again!!

The home was wonderful, so nice to be steps away from the beach. Bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, bathrooms updated. Very nice screened in porch and lower deck to enjoy coffee and meals. The one thing that others noted in reviews held true. It was the pool. It needed a very good cleaning/lots of sand and debris in pool which did not make it inviting. I have a pool myself and am a bit OCD about pools. I paid 300$ extra to have pool heated to what was to be about 90 degrees told to me by Coastal Joes. I dont think it ever got there! It was cold. Also what looks like a spa is not really a spa anymore. But others said that also , guess I should have listened. We did not get use of the pool and I lost 300$. I should have learned by previous reviews. However, Coastal Joe was response when I texted that the back door was broken, they had someone come on Sunday to fix it. All in all, I would def go back for the house itself, location on the beach and privacy, but dont count on the pool.

Problems With Pool

I take no pleasure in writing this review, and will amend it if the owner makes the needed repairs. The house is lovely, spacious and has a wonderfully well stocked kitchen, with good appliances. There are four flights of stairs, so beware if you are elderly or have mobility problems. The house was very clean upon arrival. The reason I gave cleanliness a 3 star rating is because the house has a sand flea problem. To be fair, the property management company, upon learning of this, immediately sent an exterminator to the house. However, he only did a cursory job of spraying in the den area. The entire house needs to be exterminated!! All of our ankles and lower legs are covered in bites. In addition, the pool cannot be heated, as advertised, because the heater is broken. The heated pool was the main reason we rented this home in December, so it was a major disappointment for the teens in our family not to have use of the pool. The screened in pool area is lovely, and would be great fun to use in the summer. However, unless the owner gets a new heating system, this pool should not be advertised as a heated pool. Taking all of this into account, we still managed to have a good time due to the location of the house, right on the beach. The house is spacious and has very comfortable beds. If the two main problems we encountered are fixed, then I would give this house a five star rating. Also, the property management company, Coastal Joe Vacation Rentals, offers the very best in customer service. Their response time is almost immediate; fabulous customer service.

Pictures do NOT do it justice!!

This house was perfect for the size of our group! We were traveling with 5 adults / 2 kids (1YR & 3YR) so being directly on the beach was a huge plus. On days we didn’t want to go to the beach, there was a screened in pool downstairs. For everyone with kiddos: there is a pack & play, baby mattress AND a high chair already there! We can’t wait to book again!

Paradise Palms is a gorgeous property directly on the beach. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and more. Can’t wait to return. The staff at Coastal Joe’s was very polite even though they mixed up the keys to the property. Wonderful stay!
