Luxury two bedroom air-conditioned apartment in the 5 star Alto Country Club, one of the premier resorts in the Algarve. The historic fishing village of Alvor, with a large choice of excellent restaurants and shops, is within easy walking distance as are some of the best beaches in Portugal, notably the famous Praia dos Três Irmãos. Alvor is in reality a suburb of Portimao, the largest city in the western Algarve, and the seaside resorts of Praia da Rocha and Lagos are also nearby offering a wide variety of family entertainment.

The apartment, air-conditioned throughout, is spacious and well appointed and offers guests quality and comfortable accommodation. It has been recently renovated with super-fast Wi-Fi (200 Mb/s), satellite TV, remote controlled shutters, double glazed patio doors, sliding mosquito barriers, wood burning log fire, wall mounted electric radiator panels and a new fully equipped modern kitchen. There is a large outside patio area with comfortable recliner chairs and a dining table for 6 people.

The apartment has underground car parking, and is quietly located centrally within the Alto Club, away from the perimeter road, with virtually its own private secluded south west facing garden just across from the indoor swimming pool. The wider Alto Club gardens have been beautifully landscaped with a stunning array of tropical vegetation, waterfalls and ponds well stocked with Koi carp.

The apartment will appeal to families, couples and golfers alike, who can benefit from a 40% discount on green fees at the nearby par 72 Alto golf course, designed by Sir Henry Cotton and managed by the Pestana Group, on presentation of their resort card.

The Club also has a wide range of on-site facilities including a large outdoor pool and a heated indoor pool with changing rooms and sauna. There is also a fully equipped gymnasium with fitness classes, and two flood-lit tennis courts with free use of rackets and balls. There is also a children's playground and paddling pool. A high chair and cot are available on request from the reception for a small weekly hire charge paid to the Alto Club direct.

There are two recently refurbished restaurants, The Thyme restaurant, which has a full à la carte menu and Thyme Out bar serving poolside drinks and snacks. Both are operated by the highly rated family restaurant Ruccula in central Alvor. The restaurant has received numerous accolades and 5 star reviews which can be found on the internet.

The reception will be happy to arrange car hire, airport transfers, cycle hire, picnic hampers and local excursions etc. There are discounts available to guests in many local restaurants on presentation of an Alto Club guest card, as well as on many of the excursions.
