We had a great stay. Great resort, loved the location and food was great. Pools was the perfect temperature, and we had a great time with our 3 year old daughter. We had a room where the bathroom had a very strange chemical sticky smell. It was a busy time at the report, but the staff was great and helped to get us a new room. They were very nice and gave us a complimentary cabana. Would definitely go back for our next trip

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Exceptional Stay at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta – Service Above and Beyond! We just returned from an incredible stay at the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, and we’re already missing it. The resort itself is stunning — beautifully designed interiors, spacious rooms, a lovely soft-sand beach surrounded by scenic cliffs, and peaceful pools that instantly put you in vacation mode. The dining options are fantastic, with buffets and multiple specialty restaurants including Mexican, Asian, and Italian. Blaze offers especially breathtaking views. But the true highlight of our stay was the service, which stands far above anything we’ve experienced at other luxury resorts. And at the center of it all was Gabriela Yerena, whose leadership, warmth, and personal dedication turned a small hiccup into one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve ever had. On our first night, we arrived at the buffet around 9:30 pm. While the hostess was seating us, another staff member told us the restaurant had closed early, even though the website listed 10 pm. When we asked what else was open, we were told “nothing,” which left us unsure what to do. We went to the front desk, where Lorena immediately said she would speak with her manager. Within minutes, Gabriela Yerena herself came out — accompanied by Susana Rubio and a chef — ready to make things right. She personally escorted us to the Mexican restaurant, which had already closed, and they reopened it exclusively for us, preparing d

The AC in the room they gave us was extremely loud and blowing air uncontrollably. The thermostat wasn’t working well. It was not until the Thursday when I realized there was mold on the ceiling in the room. I have pictures of the molded ceiling. My mother and I got food poisoning from eating at their Tamari restaurant. Mine started after the hibachi dinner Tuesday evening and my mom’s Wednesday evening after the sushi dinner. We both got severe food poisoning with nausea, vomit, and non-stop diarrhea. We saw a doctor at the hotel who gave medicine but the symptoms persisted all the way through the plane ride home. The doctor gave my mom 2 shots of medicine that didn’t help with her symptoms either. When showering the water would come out of the shower and spread all over the bathroom floor, not sure what kind of design this was. Our clothes remained wet all 6 days, there’s no air circulation in the room, I think that’s why there was mold growing. The bread at the buffet was old and stale, they likely recycle left overs which isn’t sanitary. I also noticed the workers don’t wear gloves. I would ask the waiters to bring bottled water for my baby and most would refuse and tell me to go to the cafe while others were kind enough to bring it. I was trying avoid diarrhea for my baby from filtered water. My son had diarrhea the day we left the resort which seeped through several outfits on the way to the airport, on the plane, and our entire way home.

Resort is lovely. I ve been a guest since 1982. The grounds are very well kept. The room was very clean, spacious and well decorated. The pools were spotless and the restaurants were quite good.
