Good stay overall. The location is nice â not right in the town center, but only around a 15-minute walk to the waterfront.
Itâs also in a very convenient spot, with Pedroâs House of Lamb right next door (which was delicious), plus a gas station and a supermarket just in front.
The room was well kept and comfortable. I would have preferred if it had been cleaned during our 4-night stay, but overall it was a nice place.
I would definitely recommend it if you donât want to stay in the city center and are looking for somewhere pleasant and a bit more peaceful to come back to.
Apartment was very clean and tidy and checkin process simple.
Internet is very fast, managing about 250 down 50 up.
Having a heated mirror and towel rail in the bathroom was excellent. Along with the washing machine which I used regularly. I would suggest not using the drier function unless on clothing that can handle some heat. The drier function of this unit uses steam to dry clothes, and can take a very long time.
There is a laundromat downstairs but beware this is expensive. ($5 for 25min drier).
We did have to replace the batteries in the heat pump/split system remote. I know I could have contacted the host, but I was impatient and cold!
Only real issue I have with the place is the bed. It is not comfortable at all and needs to be replaced. I dropped to 4 overall stars because of this.
Street parking only for this place, not too bad though. Unlimited across the street, park on the accommodation side and you'll have to move before 8.30am.
A fabulous location for walking into town and just across the road from a supermarket. Clean and everything we needed.
Our only frustration was that the code to enter the complex didnât work and the help number gave us someone with no answers, they even reminded us while we stood on the street at 4:45pm on a Friday evening, their preference that we not call after hours or during the weekend. We were left standing on the street until another guest gave us their passcode. The help desk did call us back about half an hour later. With no answers again. If it hadnât been for the guest weâd have been locked out.
Modern and clean property in a great location within walking distance to the town centre and supermarket just across the road. Has all the facilities I needed in a compact space; having a dishwasher, washer-dryer and also a clothes drying rack was very handy! The framed Story of TÄhuna in the living room was a nice touch and I appreciated it heaps!
While it was clean overall, the vacuum cleaner appeared to have missed the area near the fridge and sink.
The airconditioning unit is located in the living room but was still able to keep the bedroom at the other end of the apartment warm!
The main door is clear glass and while there is a roller blind on the inside, you canât put it down before leaving the apartment, so anyone walking past can easily see inside when youâre out. Frosting the glass would be nice for a sense of privacy & security :)
Note, the parking right in front of the building has a time limit between 8:30am-6:00pm but thereâs unlimited free street parking across the road which was great.
Also note that access to the apartment is by stairs only with a couple of doors to get through - wasnât an issue for me as I like the little workout, but be mindful if you have a heavy suitcase or mobility matters.
Overall, itâs a nice apartment to stay for solo travellers looking for convenience and proximity to town. Would stay here again :)
