Property was good but poorly maintained. So dirty. Had to keep the kid away from the floor because it was so dirty. The description of the ammeneties is a big lie for the following reasons: 1. Pool table is there but was completely fallen apart. 2. BBQ was includdd but didn't work. 3. The 3 Car Gagage was of no use as it was full of junk. 4. The property was not a waterfront. We couldn't even access the waterfront as it belonged to someone else. They advertised it as a water front showing pictures of the waterfront in a way that it misleads you to believe you have direct access to the water 5. Many other such reasons. I think I would like to be refunded half the amount paid because nothing mentioned worked well that we could use. We just pretty much used the kitchen to cook and beds to sleep. I could have just hosted this at home vs. a cottage.

We stayed at this place over the August long weekend, and enjoyed our stay. The place was kept clean, had all the ameneities as advertised (campfire, rooms, volleyball, etc.) The view of the lake is great but the house isn't exactly lakefront. You are not allowed to access the water directly across the property as it is owned by a neighbour who is very strict on trespassing. You can walk a few minutes down to the water through a public opening which isn't too bad. Overall, it was a good place especially for groups of 6+,

Our group of 8 friends arrived at the house at the time that we had arranged to meet the owner. We discovered that an email had been sent during the day that we were to phone an hour prior to arrival. We phoned and were told the owner would not be meeting us but we were given the lock code to gain access to the house and some information items were also shared with us. We were told to phone if we had any questions. In the living room we discovered a large number of decorative items, birthday balloons, stuffed animals, and even a Christmas tree (in October). Although we were not bothered by the amount of decorations and items on the shelves and in the entry, it did not look like the photos from the VRBO website. Our group was small enough to have everyone sleep upstairs which was good because the basement had a musty smell and an odd layout. There is a large bed in the master bedroom but there is a bed in the walk in closet of that room as well, which was not made when we arrived so we did not use it. The other two bedrooms were fine. On the far side of the kitchen, there is a room with 2 double beds, one of which was extremely uncomfortable. The kitchen seemed to have the dishes, cookware and utensils we needed. It would have been nice to have a paper towel refill or an extra tea towel and some extra garbage bags readily available. The space upstairs was fine but I would not call this home luxurious.
