I am not sure how this hotel couldn’t get a 5 star review. The entire property was stunning and they always had everything I needed within seconds. The food was way better than most 5 star hotels, super unique dishes with lots of flavor. The team was so friendly and spoke good English. It was a perfect location and I will miss my breakfasts and lunches with the most amazing view

The room we stayed was very small, on the first floor facing the street and it was noisy, could hear the people talking on the side walk and car noise all the time. Very difficult to rest 😕.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Arpoador! The location is perfect, right by the beach, and the hotel makes it so easy to enjoy it—they provide bikes, beach towels, and even chairs for the sand, which was such a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of great options, and the food overall was excellent. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile, which made the experience even better. My room was comfortable and well-kept, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rio. It’s the perfect mix of comfort, great service, and beachside convenience.

Fantastic hotel and location. I recommend the hotel Arpoador to everyone going to Rio. I loved it so much I left another hotel and came back for my last night in Rio. It’s worth every penny, oceanfront and town views.

The location is great, rooms have everything you need . Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really good. The vibe is very nice. Good amenities. The cons. I didn’t like the smell that came out of the bathrooms near the reception. It’s just next to the elevator and it gives you the impression of lack of higiene. I believe the cost is really elevated for what you get, I had my expectations up

We totally recommend it! The location is amazing—close to all the key points in the city. It’s the only hotel in Rio directly on the beach, without a road separating it from the sand. The restaurant has amazing views, whether you’re going for breakfast or catching the sunset while sipping caipirinhas. The entire staff was amazing—friendly, informative, and always very, very helpful and welcoming. Special shoutout to Marcus and Matheus at the front desk. Rodrigo and Bruno at the restaurant were the best!! We spent 5 days in Rio, then headed to Lençóis Maranhenses. When we came back to Rio, we had originally planned to stay at another hotel, but we canceled and decided to return to Arpoador. We’re definitely coming back in the future. Thank you for everything!!

Form more important than function...

nice location, lovely friendly and helpful staff and the design is great. But it's vastly overpriced for what it offers. The breakfast is a la carte only (no buffet as advertised somewhere), the outdoor terrace is plagued by wasps when you are eating, the "pool" is little more than a postage stamp, basically unusable (definitely impossible for swimming). And the roof terrace, though cute, is crowded with deckchairs in lines that hardly get any sun due to the shade from nearby massive buildings. It's a good location but a bit noisy if you face the ocean as there are often bands or singers busking there.
