Clean place and affordable but the toilet worked very poorly, didn’t ever want to flush. Also they crank the AC and lock the thermostat so you cannot get to it. Also had people knocking on our door at 1AM, kind of scary.

Hello , Kirstina and thank you so much for your commnets. I hope that you told the office about your toliet. It is sometimes hard to monitor everything in a hotel and if we had known you were having any issues, we would certainly have a repair man come and take care of that for you. I am not sure about the AC, but I will mention that to management to alers them that the guests need to be able to monitor their own temperature as needeed. Thank you so much! Coconut Tree West Bay

Check in was terrible, we have to wait for more than one hour to someone show up to give us the room key, we didn’t have room service, the was one electrical outlet completely out of the box making it unsafe to charge ours phones or any other device.

Hello , Aljejandro and thank you for your commnets. Actually we do post a check in time for all guests, and you came after the office was closed without any notice that you were coming late. When we know a guest is coming late, we set up the keys for the cabins with our security guard and he is happy to take you to the cabin. As to the outlet, we do apologize however, the outlet was fine upon check in so there was damage to that outlet. We were not told regarding the damage and did not see until after you left. If you had alerted the office, they would have happily had that outlet fixed for you. Thank you Coconut Tree West Bay

There was no hot water to start (which they did fix). Our room was so dark that you had to use your phone light to see things clearly at night. They just said tomorrow we will look at it TOMORROW. The shower door would not close. They did not clean the room until asked. There was a hair dryer stuck to the bathroom wall but no outlet to use it. The bathroom door was so hard to close and open. The WiFi was not working the entire time we were there.

Hello, We apologize for any inconvenience you may have had. If they sky is dark with rain and clouds, it does mek the room a bit darker. If you had asked we could have added another lamp for you if the light was a problem. We apologize. The maids do clean the rooms cabin daily. If for some reason you were skipped, all you would need to do is to tell the desk office manager and he would see to it to make sure the room cabin was cleared for you. As the the hair dryer, those were added and hard wired into the lines, so you do not need a plug for their electricity. They do work by just turning on and are not plugged into a reguar outlet. The main and pretty much only wifi provided for Roatan, Max Communications, lines were all down for quite some time. The lines run under the sea to the island fromt he mainland. The internet was down, yes, and we certainly do apologize, however, we cannot control the operation of the primary internet company. the whole island was down until the internet company fixed their underwater cable lines. we do have in spite of these problems, that you did enjoy the beautiful beach and the sea. We are always happy to hear from guests to correct any issues they are having and to be able to improve our guests' stay. Thank you Coconut Tree Roatan

The property was beach front, many restaurants and bars to choose from. Great friendly staff.

We took a chance on this property even though the reviews we read were not great. We were very pleased with cabin where we stayed. It was spacious and clean and bright. We expected a small bar fridge and it was actually almost the size of an apartment fridge. The daily included breakfast was simple but tasty and we had 3 choices: omelette, typical breakfast or pancakes with eggs and sausage. You could have orange juice or coffee. We had a nice covered deck with a partial ocean view even though our booking stated garden view so that was a nice surprise. We were in cabin 1. The security guard was super friendly and the beach staff and front desk staff were also very friendly. This property is a short walk to a small grocery story and many restaurants. The only negative was that the water in the shower ranged from cool to almost luke warm. We spent 4 nights and other than the temperature of the tap and shower water we were very pleased with the value for the money.

We had our own cabin which was spacious for our family of 3. It was a great location right near the pool and the hotel is right on the beach. The beds were too soft for us and hurt our backs. The room had 2 double beds and they were too small for us. We would have preferred queen or king. There is no hot water for showering. We ended up showering by the pool a couple times because we were at least in the sun then. There was a kitchen in the room but it was not very well stocked and the dishes that were there were rusty and dirty. My husband put his hand on the glass block on the top of the shower area and it broke off. The air conditioning broke but they fixed it right away. On site handy man was very quick. The office is not always open but when the staff was there they were friendly and very helpful.

The room we stayed in was a bit unusual. The main door was like entering a store or business. The stay was decent however the rooms could use an upgrade. The advantage was we were waiting walking distance to the beach.
