Positive:
The hotel is within walking distance of things to visit if you like walking (like we do) or the metro is about a 5 minute walk a way.
The exterior of the hotel is very nice, as you can imagine from the description. It is indeed a Church (still operating) as well as a hotel.
Less expensive than many (but not all) hotels closer to the center.
Negative
The room requires a little refresher, but it is clean and nothing is missing. It could be a little bit bigger, but this is Rome.
The food in the morning is adequate, just be sure to get there before 10, even though it should close at 10:30.
If your room faces the piazza, it is a little noisy. In our case we were so tired from walking in Rome all day that the noise didn't bother us at all. The hotel is relatively far from the street, so if you are a light sleeper then a simple pair of earplugs is more than enough. We had some and didn't even use them.
The staff is OK, I have seen far worse and far better.
Overall, it is nothing special but it is a safe bet in a city full of expensive dumps.
