Fabulous location near shopping district, grocery stores and excellent restaurants. Close to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Clean and spacious apartment. Excellent reception staff.
Not much positive to say. Good location and it worked ok for friends staying with a larger family that needed a multi-room apartment with a kitchen although rooms are pretty spartan. The single rooms were cheaply subdivided from a larger original apartment. The result is almost no water pressure, no hot water, no thermostat in our individual room, very cheap/uncomfortable furniture, and no sound proofing. Hotel has no real lobby and is very loud with all the foot traffic outside. The Sonder virtual model made it impossible to correct any of these issues in a timely manner. Rather than waste our rare vacation time we chose to forgo two more non-refundable nights and go stay somewhere else. Would not recommend staying here, especially given the number of options in this area of Rome.
We enjoyed our stay at Sonder! Both this location and the Spanish steps location are super central to Rome. We felt very safe in this area as 3 young girls traveling alone, the area was always busy and there were 3 doors with codes to get through which felt safe.
The biggest downfall is the showers in the room, which I think are an issue in most of Europe? They donât believe in shower curtains or doors!!! Water gets EVERYWHERE so we had to pile towels around the shower to avoid having a slippery floor.
Otherwise great stay!
Great property, and great reception host. He was very friendly, and helpful.
We stayed in the 3 bedroom unit, was very spacious, had 3 bathrooms as well. Property is very central, only 3 minute walk from Spanish steps and shopping. Grocery store is right across the street. Very convenient location
PRAY that there is absolutely nothing that would go wrong which let's be honest; there's always going to be something - there will always be a question but you will not get the answers here.
Flying into Rome on a redeye on minimal sleep, we were exhausted, we were woken up around 5am by very loud screeching fire alarms through our apartment. Stumbled awake; opened our apt door & realize it was a fire alarm throughout the building. Thinking this was real; we got the kids out of bed; grabbed our passports & walked out of the building. There were no staff on hand to help with this fire alarm & instead a guest was on the phone with a Sonder's rep who helped turn the alarm off around 6ish.
Thinking this is one-time thing; we stayed a 2nd night. After falling asleep around 12:30 or so; the alarm went off at 4:30am. Again; no assistance; another guest helped turned it off. Exhausted; we actually was able to fall back asleep around 5ish to be rudely awaken at 7am in the morning by the 3rd fire alarm.
We were pissed; we've slept about 10 hours in the last 3 nights in 2-3 hr increments & when asking the front desk for an explanation - they said it's probably a guest taking a hot steamy shower that set off the alarm.
Multiple times we've now asked for some kind of compensation or refund. We've since checked out as we can't chance another night. 2 weeks later; I am still waiting for the $ for the nights we didn't stay & some kinda of comp for the nights we were awaken!
We stayed here to explore Rome, as a family of four, two adults 11 year old and 6 year old, the apartment was spotless with everything we needed, beds comfortable and staff so friendly.
Walking distance to so many of the top tourist sites. We couldnât have asked for more, even the terrace was beautiful to sit and play cards in the evening. We will definately be back!
We stayed here during our trip to Rome to celebrate my nephewâs 16th birthday. I loved staying at Sonder Antonio. Best location, all the shopping you want, spacious with all amenities. I will be back and absolutely will recommend staying here. Last but not least, Jahnmarie is great and available 34/7. Love this place
The fire alarm rung every night at 4am and the hotel told us every day it was a false alarm. They promised a technician was going to attend the matter and 2 days later the receptionist confirmed no technician went. We could not go back to sleep and it ruined all our mornings because the alarm rings a long time and sometimes even several times during midnight. Terrible experience, not recommended for a good nightâs sleep.
This property was fantastic. I stayed in their two bedroom suite. It was very modern, newly updated and was very spacious. The living room also had a sofabed and Netflix was available as well. The location couldn't have been any better. You are close to the Spanish step, Treci Fountain, Pantheon and the Piazza Navona. All within a 10 minute walking distance. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Most hotels would charge you truple price for a room like this and most hotels are very old and outdated.
