Fair Stay – Budget-Friendly but Some Inconveniences
We stayed here for a three-night trip to Rome and found the location and staff to be the strongest aspects. It’s centrally located and convenient for sightseeing, and the staff was responsive and helpful, especially when issues came up. For the price, it gets the job done—a basic place to crash if you're not expecting hotel-level amenities.
However, we did encounter a few issues. On our second night, there was no hot water, so we couldn’t take showers that evening or the following chilly April morning. Since this is a guesthouse, not a hotel, it understandably took some time to resolve. Fortunately, the staff responded quickly and had it fixed the next day.
One thing that should be more clearly stated on Expedia: the check-in reception is located in a different building from ALL apartments. Currently, only some apartments and rooms are labeled as being in a separate location, which can be misleading. After checking in, we had to walk uphill to another block with all our luggage, which was an unexpected inconvenience. Being in a different building also made it more difficult to communicate with reception when needed. I was later told that all apartments are in separate buildings from the main office.
Overall, it was an okay experience, but next time I’d likely spend a bit more to stay in a hotel with on-site service and more consistent amenities. That said, for budget travelers who just need a bed in a great location, it may
