Our only regret about our stay at this hotel is that we cannot give it more stars. The menus were innovative, the rooms spotless and extremely comfortable, the facilities (including pool and Wellness Centre) luxurious; but above all the service levels were the highest we have ever experienced. All of the staff were friendly and communicative, all prepared to go the extra mile to ensure guest satisfaction. Should we revisit Gran Canaria we will undoubtedly choose to stay at the hotel again and unreservedly recommend it to others.

Superb hotel.

Absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff were attentive to every detail, friendly and professional. The food was superb. The beds were very comfortable. The spa was amazing. I cannot fault this hotel.

This is the perfect resort to relax and rejuvenate! The staff takes excellent care of you and the property. The food is outstanding and we highly recommend selecting the half board option. It is WELL worth it. The pool is the best pool we have ever been in. Perfect distance to the beach as well … we did the pool after breakfast and the beach in the afternoon. The hotel provides beach bags with water and towels. I would stay at this property again and again!

The hotel was fantastic. Amazing service , gorgeous landscaping , delicious food , and a great location!!! The front desk ent out of their way to be helpful without being obsequious. I highly recommend choosing the half-board option since the dinner was delicious and well worth the minimum charge .

The hotel is well situated near the lagoon and promenade in Maspalomas which we felt was the best resort in Gran Canaria; it is also near the main shops. It is arranged in a number of small two storey buildings throughout gardens so there s never a feeling of many people being around except for the pool area. Service is excellent and there is a high staff to guest ratio so any requests tend to be dealt with promptly and well. The bedrooms are spacious and well equipped. The food is very 'Masterchef ' style. It is well prepared and presented, but sometimes we did yearn for a roast and two veg type meal. Having said that they do have a barbecue night twice a week. The only negative is that it can become very busy and a little frantic at dinner. Whilst it runs from 7.00 to 10.30 the vast majority of diners do sit down between 7.00 and 7.15 which does put the staff under pressure All in all a very good hotel which is well run

Fabulous Hotel

La Recidencia hotel lives up to its 5 star rating in many ways. First of all the rooms are spotless and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The setting of the hotel is stunning with a fabulous pool and gardens that are almost tropical in nature. There is a poolside restaurant/bar where you can have lunch and drinks are available all day long around the poolside. The main restaurant is an open air terrace where dinner is served under the stars. There is an a la cart menu and a daily menu to choose from. Whilst the choice of dishes is not overwhelming the food is excellent and twice a week there is a BBQ style buffet which offers so much choice that the mind boggles! The same goes for breakfast, you name it and it is there. The best thing about the hotel is that it is small with just over 100 rooms so it is much more intimate unlike some of the neighbouring hotels that sport in excess of 1000 rooms! It’s difficult to find fault with the place our only comment would be that the after dinner evening entertainment could be better. This is a hotel for people who just want to chill beside the pool and be pampered. It is expensive in comparison to other hotels but it is rated as the best on the island and ultimately you get what you pay for.

A great week

A very enjoyable stay. The hotel is well run by friendly helpful staff throughout. Everything seems effortless for guests. We stayed in a standard room which was very comfortable. Restaurant and poolside bar/café great. Although you are just minutes from the beach/dunes/shopping/cafe's and restaurants, when you're in the hotel and grounds you feel you're in a very secluded part of the Island.

The location is perfect for a short walk to beach, then along the shoreline to the nude beach. The hotel itself is so beautiful, the gardens and birds being spectacular, and all the facilities were wonderful. The spa is amazing! But the best part is the staff, 100% of whom were just perfect, their attitude, friendly demeanour and apparent happiness was a joy to be within the care of, and they made sure every detail was covered. I can't remember staying in a better hotel, anywhere, really.

First Class Experience

Booked this hotel based on the fantastic reviews and the experience was above and beyond what we were expecting. The first moment we walked into the hotel the staff were very friendly and welcoming, our room request was accomdated and throughout our entire stay the service was first class. All the staff could not have been more helpful. The rooms were exceptionally and beautifully decorated. The food was fantastic, very varied and the restaurant layout was so nice. Lovely views sitting outside every night. We would absolutely visit this hotel again.

Excellent, a class act.Great service,very good food,outstanding breakfast buffet.Good fitness centre,first class spa and thallasso pool as well as large main pool. Only disappointment was that we booked through hotel.com a first floor room with balcony but apparently this was not communicated to the hotel and was not available on arrival. The preferences we had given to hotel.com were also not given to the hotel.Disappointing and we told hotel.com but received no reply.Perhaps better to book direct.
