In the center of town overlooking a plaza (other rooms overlook the valley). Multiple museums, and dining and shopping options within very easy walking distance. The town and surroundings are beautiful.

The best experience staying within the walls! Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Filled with so much charm. Breakfast was perfect. We rented a car and were given permission to drive into the town to get our bags into the room. Parking was easy to find outside the walls and the walk back to the room was 5-8 minutes.

Spacious room in a historic palazzo. Room was clean although amenities were basic. En-suite was very small. Staff were really helpful and breakfasts were good. Property is situated in the central piazza, which meant all of the cities attractions were within easy walking distance.

Beautiful hotel quaint town with plenty to see. Very helpful staff, nice delicious breakfast. We had a lovely time. The beds and pillows are very firm which takes getting used to but overall we were very impressed.

We had a wonderful stay in San Gimignano. Our host Andrea was very helpful and offered advice and information on what to see and do in the town. The apartment was spacious and clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The view from the window was spectacular. It was a bonus to have breakfast included. The location was perfect for exploring the town. We hope to return and highly recommend the apartment to family and friends.

This hotel is not family or vacation friendly. This is for a local tourist that’s traveling with a backpack. There are about 80 stairs to get to your room, so take that into consideration for every time you have to go back to your room. There is also no air conditioning and the owner told us just keep your windows open. That was also not doable with the noise outside and all the birds that would fly inside bc there are no curtains or nets on windows. We went in may-June and it was cool outside but very very hot in the room so I can’t imagine staying here when hot outside. There is also parking but about a mile away and all uphill to go to this hotel. It was torture staying here with kids and when we asked to change room the person in charge was very rude.

Spartan

Arrived early, but clearly not very welcome and no possibility of early checkin. I had called both contact numbers to discuss checkin time but no reply and no opportunity to leave a message. We found the host sharp and business like. The room is up a lot of stairs and very spartan, no tea or coffee making facilities and plastic cups for water. It was noisy from guests above regularly moving furniture across solid floor at night and early morning. Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast (only available after 8:30), so cannot comment on it. The toilet was difficult to flush and the seat was damaged and unsightly. A rather incongruous portable air-con unit spoils the authentic look of the room. The location was great, and the room has a great view of the Tuscan countryside, but wouldn't suit anyone with significant luggage.

Truly Authentic

San Gimignano is beautiful and we are so glad we stayed here as the room is right in the historic city. We were lucky as our room was only up about 8 stairs (other rooms were another flight up). We didn’t read the check in procedures which require you to notify the owner 24 hours in advance. We just showed up and called the contact. Lucky for us he was on site to check in other guests. He was able to meet us at the public parking lot and we followed him with our car into the historic center in order to drop our bags. We then had to return the car to the parking lot and paid about 15 euros to leave our car over night. The room was authentic and beautiful but we didn’t have any glasses or a full roll of toilet paper (and ran out!). It may have been because they didn’t really expect us as we just showed up. Our host was incredibly kind.

Eine wunderschöne und historische Unterkunft mitten in San Gimignano. Zentraler geht es nicht. Super netter Vermieter. Wir haben bei ihm kostenfrei geparkt und er hat uns bis vor die Tür gefahren und dort wieder abgeholt. Sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Posizione eccezionale. La stanza nella foto dà sulla piazza principale, e sembra di stare in un castello. Quella adiacente si affaccia su una bellissima campagna. Servizi essenziali (ovviamente non è un hotel) ma grande pulizia e gentilezza.
