The property is suffering effects of the covid pandemic, with closed restaurants and more limited facilities. To offset these hard times, they go out of their way to give you top notch service. The extra effort to please made our stay very favorable.
Service was really good! Staff was incredibly friendly and the room was great, also the views in the hotel were pretty nice! We didn't get restaurant service due to the ongoing covid restrictions so we had to adjust a little but anyway the stay was really pleasant and we will definitely come back.
Beautiful grounds, friendly, helpful staff, comfortable room. Great breakfast, awesome waiter!! Easy walk into town and very quiet.

This place is pretty as far as the surroundings (pool and garden) but the room not so. It is not even close to the price they ask for them. This hotel is not a value hotel. I could not recommend it.
The staff upgraded us upon arrival and the room was beautiful, down to the details in the bathroom. Lovely grounds. Fantastic view out the bedroom windows and a fantastic porch. 10 minute walk into town.
Great place to stay. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. Hotel has beautiful patio. Restaurant food was delicious.
Only thing that hotel is not close to center. Had to walk downhill to get to Allende center. I don’t mind but people that has trouble walking might have a problem. Other than that everything was fine.
Liked the remote location away from most of the noise and traffic in the Centro. The breakfast was delicious. Beds are hard as a rock if thats what you like.
My wife and dont speak much spanish but try our best and usually have no problem communicating however this staff doent even try. Lucky for us Rueben from the wait staff was there for us and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable and make many suggestions for places to see in town.
Spa experience was a definite plus!
Check out staff couldnt muster a "buenas dias" and seemed put out to deal with a non-native speaker . Not a great way to leave our stay in such a beautiful city!
Booked this stay because of the Google reviews and description that indicates Free Breakfast. There was NO free breakfast, so was not happy about that extra charge. Restaurant and bar close at 4pm. We arrived at 3:15pm after many hours of travel and much hunger. By the time we made it to the restaurant they were closed. My bad for not checking the time, but a reminder would have been nice. They did prepare us two complimentary Margaritas, though there were three of us- (heavy extra charge for that third person BTW), which was nice for the long tiring trip back down the hill for dinner. Upon return, we hit the pool and noticed right away that the pool light was broken and WIRES were exposed. Again, another set back. By the time someone came to check it out and "assure" us that we were not in danger, it was nearly 8pm which is when their pool closes?! No dinner, no breakfast, no pool, and no response from the hotel which was disappointing. The grounds are beautiful and the room was SO cute, so some people are doing an amazing job and maybe others are dropping the ball. Ruben in the restaurant and the pool guy were kind and helpful. Not sure Id stay again, to be honest. They have to revamp the kitchen and bar services or something.
It is a very cozy hotel with all you need to have a pleasant stay at SMA, one plus the the suranding nature and the live music at the restaurant Sunday morning
We loved this place! The pools are lovely; breakfast was great; room was big, clean, and artfully decorated. The service was amazing. The hotel feels very quiet and secluded, almost like a sanctuary, yet it's only a short walk to town. (The walk back is a little steep -- easy to catch a taxi.). We loved every minute. We'll be back.
Excellent service! Location is very good also. About a 15 minute walk from Parroquia de San Miguel de Arcangel which is one of the main attractions.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Everything was ok, but nothing more than ok, the room didn’t have a/c or heater so it was really cold in the room, it wasn’t possible to take a shower because of the cold! It’s not more than just 3 star hotel don’t expect too much, the rooms are kinda outdated, but if you just need a place to sleep than it might work for you, it’s clean and the location is not bad, it’s uphill but it will take 15 min to get to the center
Needs a serious renovation. There are a million stairs. Location is about 12 minute taxi from main part of town; The hotel is uphill from town and situated on the side of a hill, providing lots of nice trees, birds, greenery. Outdoor atmosphere for reading is very nice. Pool is dated and not kept particularly clean of debris from trees. The bar closes at 5pm, breakfast was terrible, room was not particularly clean. No robes, no facecloths, bed ok, slippers provided, view is nice.
