Lovely house close to the lake with panoramic lake and mountain views

Casa Rossa offers lovely accommodation with amazing views of both lake and mountains and set within the rustic cobbled streets at the heart of the historic centre of Acquaseria yet only a short few minutes' walk to the nearest beach. Casa Rossa is stylishly furnished and equipped to a very high standard. Arranged over two floors, the entrance hall on the ground floor is warm & welcoming with a 'wine cellar' for you to enjoy - all we ask is that you replace any empty bottles for our next guests. The layout of the house is 'upside down' and the 2 bedrooms are on the ground floor. The master bedroom has a king sized double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. Both bedrooms have highly efficient ceiling fans for those warmer nights and share a small private terrace with lake and mountain views. A bathroom with shower completes the ground floor accommodation and a spiral staircase leads up to the first floor.
The first thing you will notice at the top of the stairs is the panoramic view before you. Patio doors running almost the full width of the front of the house open onto a private terrace - lake, mountains and sailing boats take up the entire vista (180 degrees and beyond). The terrace has a table and chairs and there are also a couple of sun beds for those who want to spend a lazy day 'at home'. It is a real sun-trap all year round and it's great to slide wide the doors and enjoy some indoor/outdoor living. The lounge is furnished with a soft brown leather sofa and armchair with co-coordinating cushions, rugs and throws. This is complemented by an antique wooden trunk with lamps and spotlights to showcase the wonderful wooden beams in the vaulted ceiling. A contemporary glass and chrome dining table completes the room. There is free wifi, and a flat screen TV with built in Apps (Netflix, Disney etc - requires your own account) plus USB ports and scart ports so feel to bring your own streaming device. There is a DVD player which also plays CD's and a small selection of books, DVD's and games are available.
The kitchen is open plan so shares the view from the lounge and is fully equipped with fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and all the other kitchen essentials that you would expect from first class accommodation. The first floor also boast a very convenient second bathroom with shower and washing machine.
There are multiple free parking areas around the village close to the house but please note that the house is in the ancient Borgo which is a maze of cobbled streets with some steps and climbs which may make it difficult if you are of restricted mobility.

The views and atmosphere are fantastic. The accommodation is great. The only issue is the standard "staying in an old Italian place" problem - Parking. It would be a good improvement to have guaranteed parking for the accommodation.

Wonderful location,

Casa Rosa worked great for us, location was superb. Dealing with owner was a dream, the unit was as described and view outstanding. Parking was not a problem and it is close to nice resturants with good food. Allowed us to hike every day. Acquaseri is a wonderful village away from the tourist spots. Would definitely stay again

Property exactly as detailed. View phenominal. Best area to stay on Lake Como without all the tourists. Support the local restaurants and bars as you get just as much culture versus larger areas like Bellagio and Mennagio. Only issue is parking but that is the region not the hpusr.

Lovely town house w/ lake view

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this town house. It was nestled in the heart of a quaint neighborhood and was very clean & well equipped. Dawn was easy to communicate with before our stay & gave us all the necessary information. It had everything we needed including ceiling fans & other fans to help keep the place cool. It was also an amazing jumping off point to enjoy all of the golden triangle with easy access to ferries.FYI - as in all of Europe there are cobble stone sidewalks so wear good shoes to get to and from house. Make sure you take the path from the first parking area because the ones further up the hill are a bit steep.It was a fabulous place & we would definitely stay there again!

Immersive experience

Though quite challenging to find, once we arrived we were all so pleasantly surprised. View is beautiful, apt set up worked so well with my daughter, myself and 2 adult grandchildren. Walking up the cobblestone steps was a workout we weren’t prepared for, but after doing it several times, our bodies adjusted. Cute little town, however, one of the 2 restaurants was closed during our stay. We rented a car, took ferry from town to town, ate at many nearby places. Really enjoyed cappuccino and croissants at local bar in the morning. Dawn was very responsive to all my questions; was greatly appreciated. Thank you

Fabulous Home

We visited Casa Rossa at the end of July and the view was more breathtaking than the pictures on the website. It was my husband and I and our two teenage kids. We had plenty of room and all the amenities. Dawn gave us such great recommendations. We loved our visits to nearby villages and our speedboat rental at AC Boat rentals was a highlight. We went out on the lake for 4 hours and loved it!!! I would stop at Carrefour for big groceries (10 min drive) before getting to Casa Rosa and then keep up with fruit from the local fruit vendor. He was super nice and his produce was gorgeous. For the Americans, don't touch the fruit, he will choose it for you and he knows better than we do. Have a fabulous stay!!! We did.

Formidable

Le logement est parfait : spacieux, très bien équipé (electroménager, ustensiles de cuisine, vaisselle, plaids, parasols, parapluie) tout y est! Comme chez soi. Les chambres sont équipées de ventilateurs au plafond, ce qui est très appréciable. Mais comme elles sont au premier étage elles restent fraîches. A noter que l’appartement est accessible après une bonne centaine de mètres en montée. Le village est superbe mais il demande un petit effort physique. La situation est idéale. Juste en bas il y a une petite plage agréable avec un petit restaurant. Il y a aussi un loueur de bateau qui permet de visiter le lac en bateau (ça vaut vraiment le coup!). Menaggio est à 10 minutes de voiture et de là on peut prendre le ferry pour aller sur Bellagio, Varenna et les autres villages. C’est superbe!

Sehr schönes Haus im Altort von Acquaseria. Dass kein Parkplatz direkt am Haus vorhanden ist, wussten wir vorher und es stört auch nicht, weil es viele Parkplätze in fußläufiger Entfernung gibt. Wir haben den Blick vom Balkon auf den See sehr genossen. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet, ein großes Plus sind auch die zwei Bäder. Schade, dass es in Acquaseria nur kleinere Läden gibt, der nächste Supermarkt ist erst im Menaggio, aber dafür können das Haus und die Besitzer nichts. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war problemlos, man bekam immer sofort eine Antwort. Insgsamt ist das Haus sehr zu empfehlen, danke, dass wir hier sein durften!

Toller Urlaub

Wir hatten eine super Zeit. Die Wohnung ist schön, sauber und gut eingerichtet. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut, es gab immer schnelle Antworten und alles hat reibungslos geklappt. Der Ort ist toll, es gibt Bade- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und die Kinder waren täglich im frei zugänglichen Cage Soccer sowie dem Tennis- und Basketballfeld. Die Parkplätze sind rar, aber das gehört zur typischen regionalen engen Bauweise. Wir waren rund um zufrieden und sprechen eine klare Empfehlung aus!

Toller Ausblick, aber zu heiß

Die Wohnung liegt in der Altstadt des Ortes. Hier kommt man nur zu Fuß die kleinen Gassen entlang. Vom Strand bzw. dem kleinen Ortszentrum muss man ca. 700 m bergauf gehen, was im Sommer anstrengend werden kann. Vom nächsten Parkplatz ist es nur ein kurzer Weg. Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr gut ausgestattet. Es fehlte an nichts. Die Betten sind bequem. Der Ausblick vom Balkon ist zu jeder Zeit grandios. Was uns nicht so gut gefallen hat: der Kühlschrank scheint etwas überfordert zu sein. Ist außen sehr warm und kühlt nicht richtig. Die Terrasse ist eher ein Balkon. Mit Tisch und 4 Stühlen ist dieser voll. Hatten wir uns größer vorgestellt. Ein wirklicher Minuspunkt ist die Hitze in der Wohnung. Von unserer Woche hatten wir die meiste Zeit gefühlte 38 Grad Außentemperatur. In der oberen Etage waren immer mindestens 30 Grad. Das wird auf Dauer sehr unangenehm. Kochen war für uns daher nichr möglich. Im EG, in den Schlafzimmern war es besser. Schlafen ging allerdings nur mit dauerhaft laufenden Deckenventilatoren. Am vorletzten Tag/Nacht hat es sehr viel geregnet. Danach war das Klima sehr angenehm und auch in der Wohnung gut auszuhalten. Trotzdem danke für alles.

Traumwohnung mit Seeblick

Ausgezeichnete Lage etwas abseits des Trubels. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Sehr gute Ausstattung der Wohnung. Hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Alles sehr gut organisiert. Herrlicher Blick auf den See. Alle touristischen Ziele vom benachbarten Menaggio per Schiff, am Westufer sonst auch per Auto gut zu erreichen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wunderbare Lage und Aussicht

Die Lage der Wohnung und der Ausblick sind wirklich fantastisch. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.
