Wonderful stay in a very comfortable and private hotel. Staff were perfect hosts, always friendly and very helpful. Delicious breakfasts included (with great gluten free options) and dinner at the restaurant too. Highly recommend.

Extremely disappointing stay - left in the middle

We booked five nights in the Presidential Suite. First impression was great. Beautiful building, garden, and pool area, and the suite looked lovely. Unfortunately, issues started quickly. On day one, we found insects in the bathroom including flies, bugs, and a spider’s web with spider, plus bed bugs in our bed that night. Soon after arrival, and again the next morning, staff insisted we book a table at their restaurant immediately, which felt intrusive and unrelaxing. On the second night around 1:00 a.m., both my partner and I were bitten multiple times by a spider in bed. We found more bugs and decided to leave. I called the manager, who offered two options: deal with it ourselves until morning or leave and resolve payment later. We left at 2:00 a.m. and drove two hours to Milan. The next day, after the hotel tried to reach me at 9:00 a.m., I called back at 11:00. I explained I wasn’t refusing to pay, but it felt unreasonable to be charged for almost the full stay after the discomfort and lack of assistance. I suggested paying for three nights, but the manager refused, offered only a partial one-night discount, and even threatened to call the police. With help from a travel advisor and Hotels.com, the hotel finally agreed to charge only for the two nights we stayed – but this took a full day of our holiday to resolve Serious pest problems, unnecessary pressure from staff, and unprofessional complaint handling. I´m sorry but cannot recommend this hotel.

Absolut empfehlenswert

Ein wunderschön gelegenes Hotel in sehr ruhiger Lage! Das Bett war sehr bequem und das Frühstück super lecker! Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und die spezielle Atmosphäre und Ruhe genossen! Der krönende Abschluss war noch ein ausgezeichnetes Abendessen im Restaurant!
