Some pluses and minuses

Our stay started off on the wrong foot: while we loved the bay view from our room, the faucet handle in the bathroom sink was loose (eventually coming off altogether) and we could only get cold water, the shower water ran alternating hot to cold without warning, and the room heater kept blowing cold air no matter what temperature we set it at. On our first night, my husband caught a cold from having the fan vent blow directly at him all night. We reported this the following morning and the hotel was quick to apologize and to upgrade us to a corner room which we appreciated. The new room was much better although the vent still blew directly at one side of the bed - but at least we could control the heat! The shower water was hard to regulate, going from hot to luke warm suddenly, and then back again to hot. The hotel building is older which may explain the plumbing and heating problems. On the positive side, the staff were all friendly and professional, from the front desk to the bellhop to room service and housekeeping to the parking attendants out front.

Very convenient location in downtown. Reachable by public transit from airport. Hotel arranged shuttle to cruise port for us.

Great location but mediocre experience

Front desk staff was pleasant at check in, but I got to my room and the door was ajar - one upper door lock was left out so the door wouldn’t latch. Assuming this was during cleaning but it made me a bit skeptical. Ordered breakfast room service the next morning and there were no eggs in the dish, even though they were part of the dish and I’d been asked how I wanted them cooked, and when I asked the concierge/front desk staff for a dinner recommendation they didn’t give me one. Just said it would be hard to find a place to eat that was open at 5:30pm on a Sunday. Walked up the street and found several delightful restaurants so I’m not sure why they felt there was nothing to recommend.

We stayed in a club level room and enjoyed both the evening and morning snacks. The lounge is pleasant, the staff super friendly, and the food good. It was very nice to be able to leave our car parked until 6 the next evening!
