Cabin was great for family

The cabin could be so much for with some needed updates and finished repairs. The kitchen needs many things. The ample amount of silverware and drinkware. A minimum amount of pantry such as foil, saran wrap, napkins etc. It would have been nice to have just basic cleaning supplies to tidy up during our stay. The garage has a horrible smell and it caused the bottom floor to smell as well. Smells like cat urine or litter box. Some new pillows or blankets for the home and area rug would add to some comfort. We needed assistance to get into the cabin and had to use the keys from the lock box to get in. Shaver is a great place to visit and we have been renting places for years. Disappointed in the amenities this trip.

Not the best

Stayed here with my husband and family. House was in a nice location, not far from the lake. The layout of the house was great and I loved that each bedroom had an attached bathroom. Other than that, the cabin wasn’t great. One of the amenities listed in the site was internet service. We had no internet the entire stay, so we couldn’t watch any tv or work from laptops. When we called customer service, they were unhelpful to say the least and honestly a bit rude. They sent someone to the house to try and resolve the internet issue (unannounced) and he wasn’t able to do anything. One of the toilets was also clogged the majority of our stay. The listing picture showed a fireplace in the living room but when we tried to turn it on, the fuse would spark. So no fire either. We made the best of our stay, but it was nothing special, and very irritating that we had to contact customer support to many times in our vacation. Would not rent again!

Nice escape in the woods

My friends and I were in shaver lake for a celebration of life for our friend. The house was very comforting and allowed for our group to stay comfortable and make the best of the situation.

Recommend for multiple groups

3 bedrooms each with their own bath. Nice open layout on the top floor with a large patio in the back. Would book again

Snow Getaway

The property overall was great. The enclosed deck made it easy to take my dog out in the middle of the night. The only complaint was the heating. I don't know if the timer was set incorrectly but we froze in the middle of the night even with attempting to adjust the thermostat.

Sone good, some not so good

Neighborhood and house layout was great and as expected. Overall experience was ok, but many issues with things not working: no warm water or Wi-Fi first night; pellet stove never worked; one shower had major leak entire stay; lament floors were very dirty.

Annual Hunting Trip

We usually spend a week at an RV park at Wishon Reservoir, however, I was having issues with my truck and could not pull my RV and had to make short notice plan changes. This home was a great alternative. It was a little further away from the places we like to hunt, but, the home was nice and in a beautiful area. It had all the amenities we needed and plenty of room for my family. There was an issue with the WiFi when we arrived, I called the help number and less than an hour after I called a service person arrived and fixed the issue in just a few minutes. The location is great for recreation of all types, the lake is just a few minutes away, hunting and fishing are very close and for skiers, Sierra Summit and China Peak are not far. There are a number of good restaurants very close.

We come up every September/October for a family weekend. First time in this cabin. Great stay. Kitchen well appointed, nice area for dogs.
