Main building is nice. Stay'd in a double queen room which was in a different building closer to the entrance. Room itself was fine. Around the building was an abandoned house with ALOT of garbage everywhere. That made it look alittle run down. Overall it was good and i would return.

Very close to Shawnee mountain. Cute hotel rustic. Rooms are a little outdated but we really enjoyed our stay.

Wanted to like it more.

We really wanted to like this place more. They gave us a heads up call that the pool was closed, which was polite. Cleaning staff left our hotel room propped open with all our stuff when we arrived. The front staff wasn't surprised. Mildew all over the shower curtains. Ants in the bathroom. 2 out of 4 ping pong rackets were broken (watch out for splinters). The GEM restaurant took over 2.5 hours to serve our order, just to name a few things.

This was a great stay. My wife loved it. We really enjoyed the stay. The food was good, the atmosphere was quaint and it is somewhere we will enjoy staying at again. We have no complaints.

Place was nice, staff was great, rooms were nice, only complaint is we booked with 5 other families and weren't aware that there's a main hotel and there a satellite set of rooms called the Delaware. Half of us were put in main hotel, half in Delaware. It really should be specified, what rooms were what. Because we really wanted to experience the main building and would have made a point to ask stay in main hotel if we knew ahead of time.

I would not recommend this property. We went for a ski weekend with friends and ended up staying at the building off of the main building. Walls are paper thin and you can literally hear absolutely everything in the next room. I could not get hot water in the shower two separate days, there was a standing puddle of water outside our room. You could see the pipes for the sink in plane sight. Just a bad experience overall

Galentine’s Weekend with friends and family. We LOVE the Shawnee’s authentic ambience which brings us back to a simpler time. If you are looking for a cozy circle around a real fire…indoors or out…fresh air, surrounded by natural beauty, access to a lovely, simple spa, great choices for food and activities…consider this wonderfully unique place. The staff is the Shawnee’s most valuable resource…genuinely friendly and helpful…so many folks have been there for years. However, if material perfection or the latest fad is important to you…look elsewhere. ❤️❤️❤️
