Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Spoiled by weekend music from nearby night bars that went on until 2.30am. Rooms good standard, customer service great, breakfast and breakfast room satisfactory.
Excellent overnight stay, lovely helpful staff (especially when we accidently locked ourselves out in the night). Did have an issue with the cleaner coming in despite paying extra for a late check out but this was apologised for sinse rally and even given another hour to get ourselves ready. Will be back next time I'm in Sheffield, for sure!
The hotel was conveniently placed, and the staff friendly and welcoming. Loved the split level room with spiral staircase. Nice to still have a hotel that proves robes and slippers and no overwhelming scents pumped in to the room, just clean and well maintained.
Easy walk from station, near restaurants and shops, close to the cathedral

Noisy Saturday night!
Make sure you don’t get room 144!
You might as well be in the pubs beer garden. Really should offer a discount for certain rooms.
Very good central location, staff were mostly friendly. Generally fairly clean, but certain areas did look tired.
Room was standard, comfy and clean but a few things let it down. Sink drains slowly and tv wasn’t working in the evening. Some black mould in the shower and a big cracked tile in the bathroom. Nothing that hindered our stay.
Bed was very comfy and room was lovely and quiet.
i was very impressed by my stay at the leopold hotel
i had been traveling most of england for two weeks prior to coming to the leopold and the leopold was better than the rest of them.
1) very comfortable
2) very fast internet (400 mbps+) versus my previous hotels all averaging 30-40mbps
3) great tub
4) great location
5) very nice staff
This is the first time I have stayed in the Leopold Hotel, and despite being an older hotel than some others nearby, it is very well maintained. The room was a descent size and clean. I like the way they encourage you to not have your towels washed everyday, more hotels should do this. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. My only negatives would be the pillows were not comfortable (this is a personal preference) and my window faced Leopold Square, and there was a lot of noise, especially on the Bank Holiday Sunday night. This made it difficult to sleep. On checkout, I mentioned this and was informed it happened every year. I feel I should have been informed of this and given the choice of a different room. Overall, a good hotel, though.
Beautiful historic hotel, lovely interior and friendly staff. Excellent city centre location.
BUT …. The MOST uncomfortable bed of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Felt like sleeping on a bed base rather than a mattress. The join between two beds pushed together was a ridge like Hadrian’s Wall and quilt felt threadbare. Such a shame as it’s a really lovely hotel .
