4/10 Poor

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
We stayed 4 nights. The room was fine and I was glad to have a decent bed as I was healing from bruised ribs from a fall on the Cinque Terre trail. I needed some rest and stayed in bed longer than usual. Around 8 o'clock every morning there was loud, LOUD yelling, slamming doors, vacuuming, and absolute chaos. Horrible! This goes on for hours. Casa di Alfredo is a family run operation. The angry mother yells at anything in her path. One morning she was exceptionally upset so much so that even after her husband left the premises she continued to yell abusively to the empty air for an hour. The location is great, it's close to the train station and across the street from Porta Camollia gate. The price is good as well. If you are only looking for a room for one night and will leave around 7am, then the place is okay. For us, our 4 night stay is Siena would have been much more pleasant had we stayed somewhere else.
