Palazzo Pannilini-Historical residence

Furnished apartment of about 360 square meters, located on the second floor of a noble sixteenth-century building, of historical and artistic interest (notified according to the relevant law), attributed to the Sienese architect Baldassarre Peruzzi or to Bartolomeo Neroni known as "Il Riccio". It is indicated in Wikipedia among the most beautiful historic buildings in Siena. It consists of an entrance hall which leads to a beautiful frescoed living room with fireplace, frescoed dining room, large kitchen with fireplace and adjacent wardrobe.
The apartment offers 3 bedrooms with double bed and 2 bedrooms with single bed; the 3 bathrooms have been recently renovated, of which 2 with shower and the other with jacuzzi bath for whirlpool.
On the upper floor you have access to a beautiful panoramic terrace of about 40 square meters.
The frescoes in the walls and ceilings are from around 1770 and attributed to the Pisan painter Giuseppe Bracci.

Excellent all around. We had three couples and we all absolutely iced this historic home. The host was welcoming and super responsive. The home is beautiful, clean, and very spacious. The beds were comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring Sienna.

This residence is special and unique! If you want to feel like you are stepping back in time, stay here. The apartment is huge! We were very comfortable here. The A/C was adequate in addition to fans. It was very hot the few days we were there. The rooftop terrrace was a perfect place to wind down in the evening with exceptional views. The location of the property was perfect. We were within steps of everything we needed. The hosts were phenomonal and responed quickly!

Siena 4 Palio

What an amazing place to stay! Thank you Bianca and family for opening up your home to us. It truly was like staying in a museum. The location, bedroom and living spaces were huge! This was our first time experiencing the Palio and this home is in the most perfect location. We would love to return to Siena and we highly recommend this home! The perfect place to stay in Siena if you have a group of 6. The property manager was very attentive to our needs. Know that you will be on the top floor and will walk up 49 beautiful marble steps. It was easy! We would stay here again if in Siena.

We felt like royalty!

I didn't think there was any way this place could live up to the photos online, but it surpasses them! Andrea checked us in, and gave us a tour of the apartment along with some of its history. Knowing this was his family home made it more personal, and understanding the age of the place along with the age of the décor made it that much more meaningful for us. It was so large we got a little bit lost at times, but everyone had their own huge, comfortable space and we made great use of the kitchen, cooking for ourselves most nights. We even used the dining room one rainy evening so that we didn't waste the opportunity. The roof terrace has beautiful views and it was a lovely place to have a drink and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Everything worked perfectly. If you have older guests with you, or people with mobility issues, be warned that there are a number of stairs in order to reach this apartment, but it's totally worth the climb! We loved staying here, and we'd do it again in an instant. We parked at a free parking lot south of the city that the hosts recommended to us, as it is served by a bus that drops you at the city gate very close to the apartment. We found this highly convenient and would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to pay for parking. The walk from the bus stop is even closer than the walk from the closest paid parking lot! We would recommend this place unreservedly!

Beyond compare

We could not have had a better experience. This beautiful and spacious historical residence is even more amazing in person than in photos. Aside from the beauty it has all the modern amenities to make for a comfortable stay. And the roof deck provides once in a lifetime views. The location is perfect for exploring the city by foot and the parking is nearby if you travel with a car. Our host was extremely helpful and communicative. She offered us a cooking class and both the adults and teens in our group enjoyed learning how to make pasta and tiramisu. We can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful

This was a great stay for our family vacation with our 3 adult daughters and their partners plus 1 infant. The hosts were very accommodating and quickly responsive to any questions. The location is on a side street and very easy walking distance to anywhere within the walled city. The interior is very beautiful and spacious with plenty of room for our large group. The only quibble is that a couple of the bedrooms don’t have doors as the layout doesn’t allow for that.There’s also two flights of stairs to the apartment but that’s noted in the description. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Amazing home & location

Best location possible in Siena. Parking is two blocks from the apartment. The apartment has beautiful bedrooms you feel like you’re going back in time and you are royalty.. It was an experience.. We have recommended this apartment to everyone going to Siena. Loved it.

Wonderful visit to beautiful Siena!

Our group of 6 had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa in Siena. Perfect location - we were able to walk to everything. Only thing we needed a cab for was the 3 mile trip to the train station. Our host met us at the villa for check-in and explained that he actually grew up in the house! The space was huge! Really felt like we weee locals staying there. Hosts were very responsive but didn't need to contact them much since everything was in order and as stated in description. Highly recommend!

wonderful host and wonderful place

cannot say enough about how wonderful the host was and how perfect the location was for our stay in Siena. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, including helping us with taxis and restaurants. The home was beautiful, and we loved being able to sit on the roof top, enjoying the view, along with our drinks. HIGHLY recommend!

Great Palazzo and Location

A unique and wonderful experience

On our visit to Italy we stayed at VRBO properties in three different cities (Florence, Siena, and Rome). All three properties were excellent--we were fortunate, and they were all clean, well-maintained, and well-stocked. But this one in Siena really was special. And I know that my wife, my kids, and I are going to be thinking about it and our time there for a very long time. A few things . . . (1) The hosts, Bianca Maria and her husband Andrea, were truly outstanding; they were super-responsive to any questions we had, and they offered great restaurant recommendations, even making last-minute reservations for us. (2) Everything mentioned in the other reviews about the physical beauty of the property is accurate; it really is striking. The photographs of the property, while nice, do not do it justice. (3) The view from the rooftop veranda is beautiful, and I regret not spending more time up there. (4) I'm not sure it would be possible to beat the central location of this property. (5) Staying here was a unique and wonderful experience, and my wife and I are already talking about how and when we might be able to get back.

Wonderful apartment- truly a palace

The apartment is beautiful - stunning frescoes, beautiful furniture, a well, equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and to top it off a gorgeous rooftop veranda overlooking Siena and Tuscany. Bianca Maria met us, explained everything and was always available for questions and recommendations. The location is fabulous for easy strolls to the Campo or any of multiple restaurants. Be sure to ask Bianca for how to contact her friend Kathleen for a great walking tour.

Incredible palace

The palace was incredible - absolutely beautiful and so well equipped. We felt as if we were in a movie! Our hosts were wonderful - helping with restaurants and with details on parking outside the historic centre, luggage and recommendations on sight seeeing. The whole experience was amazing.

An oasis in the heart of Siena

Our 4 night stay at Palazzo Pannilini was just perfect! There were 6 of us in total, 2 couples and 2 singles. We had more than enough bedrooms to accommodate us and 3 wonderfully appointed and updated bathrooms as well. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, there are several comfy sitting rooms and the terrace was a spectacular place to gather and chat at hee D of each day in Tuscany. The apartment was close to the center of town and was surrounded with fantastic little restaurants, cafes and shops. Check in was seamless, it was well priced and when we went to leave Bianca called and arranged for our cabs. We can’t rave enough about this place, it was perfetto!

Amazing palazzo, heart of Siena, hosted by very attentive couple

Lavishly decorated, sixteenth century inspired, enormous and comfortable with modern amenities. Great location close to but far enough away from il Campo to have a neighborhood feel. The back of it faces a square that is active in the evening. Worked well for six adults. Andrea and Bianca were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We would stay there again.

Perfect location for Palio and Siena

From the balcony, a full view of a contrata diner. From the front door, a front row seat for the parade. The interior is a step back in time, fabulous frescos define each space. Amazing! While it is a three story walk up, The views and roof top patio is worth the effort. For travelers from the US, note special plugs not Apple adapters needed to charge iPhones etc. Good, better and best restaurants just steps away from front door, yum. Yep, perfect.

Great location!

The property manager was awesome! The apartment is up three stories of beautiful marble steps in an historic building. Very safe area. They had everything we needed at the apartment. We were very thankful for the portable air conditioners in the bedrooms as it was apparently much hotter than normal. The bedrooms were big and roomy. Comfortable beds. The rooftop was wonderful!!

NO AIR CONDITIONING RUINED THIS STAY

This Apartment in Siena seemed wonderful and it was beautiful. HOWEVER, the listing stated very clearly it had air conditioning. It did not. It was very hot those few days in Siena and the owner did nothing to make the apartment livable. Window could be opened, but kids played basketball underneath the balcony until all hours of the night. Ruined our time in Siena with very little sleep. There should have been air conditioning. We should have a partial refund of our money. I have rented a lot of apartments from VRBO and this is the first one that really was misleading and inaccurate.
