Beauty in the pines
Posted May 21, 2024 on HomeAwayWe are log cabin enthusiasts for our north shore getaways & this VRBO listing did not disappoint. You will not find a nicer or beautiful place to stay on north shore. A gorgeous view out of every window.

Loved Everything
Posted Feb. 6, 2024 on HomeAwayMy husband and I loved everything about this cabin. It is private up on a hill with a gorgeous view yet close to many things. The cabin is of excellent design and every aspect works perfectly. I loved the barn doors on the master bedroom that we could close in the morning when I got up earlier than my husband to make coffee. Most A frame designs leave the loft bedroom open to all of the noises of the kitchen but not this cabin. I also loved looking out over the lake while soaking in the copper bathtub. This review would be remiss if I did not mention the snowshoe trail just outside the front door that takes you all the way to High Falls at Tettegouche. It is not to be missed! Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us!

Cozy Cabin Comfort
Posted Oct. 30, 2023 on HomeAwayMy husband and I camped for 4 nights in Superior National Forest before checking in at this beautiful cabin. We had been hiking a lot and were very excited for showers and a comfortable bed. This cabin exceeded our expectations! We were so in love with the cabin, we decided to skip any sight-seeing, and just enjoyed lounging and cooking with the beautiful views offered at the cabin.
It was a fantastic ending to our fall getaway!

Tettegouche cabin on the hill
Posted Oct. 19, 2023 on HomeAwayOur family of 5 (daughters 4, 9, 10) stayed in this beautiful cabin October 4-8. It was just as pictured and was one of those vacations that you actually left feeling relaxed and refreshed instead of exhausted from the vacation. Stepping out of the car the view obviously takes your breath away and it smells like beautiful northern pines. Inside the cabin smells like pine and cedar and is so relaxing. It rained on and off every day of our trip so we squeezed in outdoor fires when we could and otherwise thoroughly enjoyed the inside. The temperature of that time of year was perfect for fires in the wood stove in the mornings and evenings and windows open in the middle of the day. The upstairs bathroom/tub felt like a spa, multiple kids could fit in at one time. The beds were all very comfortable and there were fans provided. Other things included that are not at all VRBO properties: extra quilts/blankets, lots of games and puzzles, tons of firewood, crockpot, waffle maker, ice maker in freezer, laundry/dish soap, plenty of to/paper towels, coffee/tea, spices and kitchen items like oil, flour, sugar, syrup, pancake mix,etc. This cabin is very close to Illgen falls/high falls, black beach, pebble beach and split rock lighthouse. We enjoyed going to silver bay marina to watch the ships come in. Sunrises on the deck are phenomenal. Traffic noise is very minimal and the view of the stars is fantastic.

You can't do better
Posted Oct. 12, 2023 on HomeAwayThis cabin is honestly a masterpiece. Every inch is pure art. You can't go wrong staying here. Everything from the screened in porch to copper bath tub make your stay a magical experience. The view is better than any hike vista. We adore this cabin and will be back again and again.

Our Third Trip
Posted Oct. 3, 2023 on HomeAwayWe love this cabin on the North Shore and come back every chance we get. It’s quiet, beautiful, comfortable, and a great location. The bed is very cozy (I love a nice bed). The bath is luxury. And the view is unbeatable. Highly recommend to anyone. Can’t wait for next fall!

Posted Sep. 29, 2023 on HomeAwayFantastic rustic log cabin with all the ammenities you could ask for! The communication w/ the owner was fantastic as was the entire stay that We had while there!! It was hard to leave such a beautiful place with the amazing views of Gitchee Gummee right out the front windows! Thanks for letting Us stay at your beautiful piece of heaven!!

North shore central location
Posted Sep. 22, 2023 on HomeAwayCabin worked well for us (couple) or potentially for parents with younger kids. Upstairs is partitioned into a bedroom, hallway with built in beds and bathroom with tub only. Downstairs has the kitchen, 3/4 bath and family room. Several upgrades in the cabin finishings. Great view of area below the cabin which sits on a bluff including lake view. Highway noise was a little loud when sitting outside, but view made up for it. Minimal restaurants and groceries in the area, so make sure you load up in Two Harbors or Grand Marais depending on which direction you are coming from. Central location worked well for our daily sightseeing itinerary as we made our way up from Duluth to Grand Marais. Price seemed a little high for the value, but reasonable enough for a late booking. Would stay again if better value was not available.
