The breakfast buffet was ample with an additional touch of the chef’s presence to personalize the egg dishes. Opportunity to brush our Italian although the staff were conversant in English.

We enjoyed our stay. Pay for a seaview room or you will be in what feels like the basement. Something else to note which is out of the control of the hotel is that the pool area and sun deck are in shade by 4:30 in the afternoon. Both areas are nice and clean, but the sun is behind the cliffside which casts a shadow on the pool area. The reason I mention it is because I like to take a dip after an excursion and the shade at the pool was a bummer. We were there in September. The front desk staff was extremely helpful with directions, reservations, anything really.

The hotel is located near the shopping and restaurants. It has fantastic view of the Bay of Naples. The staff are friendly especially the morning crew at the breakfast buffet (Ana). Stated 5 night and will definitely come back at this hotel.

We made Rivage Hotel our base for 12 nights and took day trips to all surrounding islands. The hotel is beautiful with excellent location. We liked the friendly staff and the cleanliness. The only issue was the very low water pressure in the shower and sink.

Very nice hotel. The location is great and close walking distance to city center, restaurants and shopping. Also walking distance to the marina and beaches. Beds were a bit hard but nice view with balcony in the room. They only had a shared iron you had to go use in an ironing room and ask for the key each time, which was a hassle. Other than that the staff was great and the breakfast was good.

The hotel location is perfect for a trip to Sorrento and the facilities are perfect. We enjoyed our ocean view room and the pool. The staff in the restaurant were great. The only reason I am giving the hotel a 4 star is because the bed was not at all comfortable and we came to expect this in Italy but after 6 nights on the bed I was happy to leave - please do your guests a favor and get better beds.

Best place in Sorrento

Hotel Rivage was fantastic. The location is perfect for staying in town and being near the main plaza. It is conveniently located near all the restaurants and shopping! The view from the pool stunning and the staff is excellent! The breakfast in the morning is also incredible. If you are looking for somewhere to stay, definitely book the hotel rivage!

Family room we stayed in had 2 rooms. 1 room with 2 singles had extremely hard bed and are quite narrow. The double on the other hand was fine! The food and drinks were fab, best Hugo spritz we had was at the hotel. Hotel was very clean and all staff were friendly

We had a great stay at Hotel Rivage! It was conveniently located near the main area of Sorrento -we walked 10-15 minutes to get to the beach, and entered the main downtown area within a couple of minutes to dinners and shopping. Morning breakfast was everything you could need with a great selection - cappuccino and omelette for breakfast were my go to! The view from the 3rd floor terrace as well as swimming pool area was absolutely dreamy. Wonderful staff, slept comfortably, small grocery store across the street, no complaints from us! It has everything we needed! Thanks Hotel Rivage!

Location just off of the main section of the historical center, whjch was lovely. Breakfast was wonderful. Super clean. Really nice to have a pool to cool off after exploring. Beds were rock hard and very uncomfortable unfortunately.

Had a great time here. Fantastic location. Rooms were good, lovely view and very clean, nice pool, very helpful and courteous staff. Only reason I would t give it a full 5 is because I thought the breakfast options was a bit more limited than I had expected. Can’t fault the staff. They were spot on. Just the choice of options was a bit limited. Bar very nice in the evening and prices not to bad. Certainly competitive with bars in town.

Hotel is comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well located. A few mins walk to via Corso and 15 to railway station. The pool area and dining room have wonderful views of bay of Naples. The breakfast buffet is well-stocked. Our standard double room with balcony was fine but we had no view and could have done with more hanging space for a 7 night stay. The sound proofing between rooms and floors is terrible. Kept awake by a crying baby and then by the dining room above prepping for breakfast. The water pressure was poor in our shower room, the air con flaky and the lighting in the bathroom was inadequate.

This hotel had a great view of the ocean and the mountain side. Very good location- walkable. The hotel restaurant was great - Italian breakfast. Lots of areas to rest and relax with amazing views. The only set back for us was the bathroom- the shower was extremely small. Not much toiletries. The room was very basic but clean. The king bed was comfortable. Staff was helpful and kind.

We stayed at this hotel in Sorrento for 4 nights as a base to explore the Amalfi Coast, and it was a fantastic choice. Sorrento turned out to be the perfect location—close to great restaurants and shops, yet still charming and relaxing. The hotel itself was excellent: the breakfast was generous and delicious, the service was top-notch, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others visiting the area.
