"Cape Escape" Sunny Renovated House - Walk To Beach, Pickleball, Central AC

Walking Distance to the beach! Updated home with indoor/outdoor living and separate living room and family room both with HD TV and Wifi. After a day of sun and fun, enjoy dining outside on the lovely fenced-in patio or playing yard games on the large front lawn.

This 3 Bedroom/2 Bath home was completely updated a few years ago - including central AC. It is walking distance to everything including a .4 mile walk to Forest Beach which has free parking and .3 miles to the inlet to Taylor's pond where there is a landing for fishing, kayaking, or paddleboarding. There is also neighborhood tennis & pickleball court less than a 1/4 mile walk away. Close to shopping in Chatham or walking distance to fun local restaurants. There is one king bed in the master, one queen bedroom, and one bedroom with two twin beds. Parking is available for up to three cars.

There is both a living room and a family room/sunroom with a cathedral ceiling. The family room has a queen pullout. Outside there is a patio with a table and chairs, a new outdoor shower and a gas grill. Everything that is needed for the perfect Cape escape! For safety reasons, we do ask guests to either bring their own towels and sheets or use a service like Cape Linens. Bedspreads, pillows, blankets are provided.

Beautiful vacation spot! The weather was perfect, and we enjoyed the beach every daybeing only 1/2 mile from the property. Great location in a quiet neighborhood. The backyard was fenced in and perfect for our dog. There is plenty of space for other family members as well, if they were to join you.

Beautiful!

My family and I (4 adults) had the pleasure of staying at this property. It was a new area for us, but we truly enjoyed the area and took many walks around the neighborhood (and used the tennis court too). It’s about a 10min walk to nearby public beach (beach is not great for swimming due to rocks, but very nice otherwise). The house is amazing and very welcoming. We felt like staying in a home away from home. Kate and family had done a wonderful job in making sure all appropriate amenities were available and the decor was so welcoming. Thank you, Kate and Billie for letting us enjoy your home!

Everything we expected and more ,,,

This is a Beautiful House ,, Just far enough a block or off of Rt 28 to make easy to get to all locations ,on the Cape ,,The house was completely updated and a fully equipped kitchen ,,,2 locations with Smart TV apart from each other ,, The Bedroom size and furnishings were more than adequate each with a large closet ,,.. The outside patio area was beautifully landscaped and had plenty of area for entertaining with the table sofa and chairs and grille ,,,,Overall this is a house we would come back too ,, The numerous Hydrangea should now be in Bloom ....This was our first visit to the Cape and were impressed with everything ,,

Perfection

House was beautiful and spotless when we arrived. Seriously, the cleanest rental we’ve ever had. Very well stocked with literally everything we needed. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Fenced yard gave us great peace of mind leaving our kids and pup to play outside safely. Could not ask for a more relaxing place to vacation!

Cape Escape - Somewhat Disappointing

The owner was kind enough to allow us to arrive a few hours before 5:00 PM on Saturday and she left a nice bottle of wine and chips to welcome us. It’s a good thing we arrived early before our guests because we found issues that needed immediate attention. The couch in the living room was covered in dog hair and there was a pile of dirt left on the floor and couch in the sunroom. The coffee tables and other surfaces in the living room and sunroom needed dusting. The other issues that bothered us were: lockbox key removal was difficult, vacuum cleaner in entrance closet was broken, master bathroom outer shower curtain had dark mold on the bottom two inches, wooden floors needed a good cleaning, garbage instructions were incorrect, Nest thermostat instructions were difficult and we were unable to turn the heat on except for the sunroom area. We paid an extra cleaning fee for our dog and expected to find the house sparkling clean. We feel that we left the house cleaner than we found it. We vacuumed with the battery operated one we found in the garage before we left and there was no dog hair anywhere. Overall, we enjoyed the neighborhood and Forest Beach area and hope to visit again.

Amazing Time!

When we arrived, the house was perfectly clean and the host had left us a bag of potato chips and wine — Perfect after a long drive. The house is great for a family with younger children. It’s a good size, close to an almost empty beach and comfortable for a family sleeping, eating and relaxing wise. Not too much for the kids to get into trouble with either! We will definitely be booking again.

Excellent home in an excellent location.

Highly recommend the location and the home. Walking distance to the beach, public tennis court, and the rail trail. Easy drive to downtown Chatham, Brewster, Orleans, and Harwich. The house is in great condition with a beautiful backyard and outdoor shower. All the amenities you could ask for with enough space so that all guests feel comfortable. Property owner was extremely responsive and did a great job of communicating before, during, and after our stay. We would highly recommend the home and would stay here again.

Comfortable, clean house, close to the beach

We stayed at the property for 2 weeks this summer. From the start, communication with the owners was clear and easy. The house was SO clean when we arrived. It really stood out how clean it was. It was also well stocked with essentials (cleaning products, paper products), as was the kitchen. While the house was comfortable for our group with ample space for the 3 generations that were staying there, the patio really made the house stand out. Fenced in with the yard so we didn't need to worry about our young kids or the dog, and very comfortable for dinner or afternoon lounging. Close to the beach (though with young kids we opted to drive since 0.5 miles is a bit long for small legs) and the garage was very handy to leave the beach wagon and stroller. We will certainly return!

Great stay in a wonderful house

House was immaculate, attractively furnished and well-equipped...in a lovely setting. Very comfortable for our multi-gen family of 7. We enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood, plus convenience to town and area beaches (incl walkable). Beautiful patio/yard, perfect for hosting a family gathering. Hosts were very accessible and prompt on all communications.

Perfect quiet spot for family fun!

Our second time renting this beautiful home, a short, safe walk to the beach. Our kids love the backyard and patio, and the two separate TV / living rooms allow for breathing room! The house has all a family would need including a reliable washer/dryer, dishwasher, and grill. We will return for a third time soon!

Comfortable and relaxing

Lovely house, perfect for our three generation family of 5. Comfortable in every way: beds, space, sitting areas. Kitchen was well stocked. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed backyard, and we very much enjoyed the patio. Owners were very responsive when we had questions. This is one of the better houses we’ve rented in Chatham in the last few years. Would love to come back.

Had everything we were looking for.

We live in a different part of the Cape but were renovating and wanted to avoid the chaos while the work was being done. We selected this house and are glad we did! It has everything we wanted. Short walk to the very nice beach, near the bike trails, easy access to Chatham and Harwich. House was roomy and very comfortable. Neighborhood was nice and the neighbors were friendly. Patio was nice and the hosts were very accommodating as well. We highly recommend it!

The house was bright and lovely. The fenced back yard was perfect for outdoor dining, and relaxing and our dog loved it too. The location between downtown Chatham and Harwich Port was convenient. Would love to rent it again. Thank you!

July 2021 Stay

My family and I stayed here for a week and had the best time! The location is great-quiet with a 10 minute walk to the beach which I walked to every morning :). A short drive to the downtown area with plenty of shopping and restaurants. The quaint back yard is fenced in with a beautiful patio area. Colin was very easy to get in touch with, though we did not need to reach out. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Perfect family spot in Chatham!

This house is perfect for our family (2 kids + a dog) as it is very long which allows you to put the kids to bed early and still enjoy a few laughs together - you can’t hear anything on the other side of the house. A 5 minute walk from Forest Beach and a 5 minute drive from Stop and Shop means you can really relax and hideaway if that’s what you’re looking for :) Have been before and will stay again!

Beautiful Cape Getaway

Beautiful, clean and comfortable home. Easy location and quick commute to downtown Chatham and nearby towns. Quick ride to the bike path which we used daily. We recommend Red River beach for easy beach access with kids. The welcome amenity was a wonderful touch! We would love to return!

Great week in Chatham

The house was very clean and as nice as pictured. The tennis court also had pickleball which was a bonus for us. Beach was a little rocky but was fine for our purposes. The owner also gave us directions to a pond to swim in which was about a 10 minute drive. A categorized list of restaurants was also provided which was very helpful.
