"House itself and owners were lovely and couldnâ€™t have done enough. We had issues with bugs and flies. We left the doors open due to how hot it was and we got a fly infestation the first night which took a while to clean up. We ran out of bin bags and toilet rolls at one point so owner brought us more. The freezer was tiny so be prepared if youâ€™re going for a long time and taking a lot of freezer food. Overall the house was lovely but just a few things were disappointing with the stay"

"We had the most amazing weekend at The Barn in Oakenshaw for a hen do with 16 of us! It was the perfect place for a weekend full of laughs, dancing, prosecco, and making forever memories with the bride to be. It was cosy and welcoming but with loads of space for everyone to get together and enjoy all the hen do fun. Claire, the host was fantastic throughout, from the moment we booked there was great communication and she was always on hand if we needed anything, which made the whole trip so easy and stress free! We were lucky enough to have some gorgeous sun meaning we could make full use of the outdoor space and bbq area soaking up the sunshine all while celebrating. It really was the cherry on top for such a special weekend.We had the best time from start to finish and couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. I honestly couldn’t recommend The barn enough. Thank you again for having us and helping make our bride to be’s send-off so memorable! Xx"

"Hall Farm cottage is in an excellent location for exploring County Durham, the cottage itself is of a really high standard with a well equipped kitchen and with more than enough utensils for two people, we found it very comfortable with an added bonus of a hot tub.If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing breakaway Hall Farm cottage is perfect."

"We have recently just got back from a week's stay in this adorable cottage. At 1st we were a little wary of the stairs as they are steeper than your standard ones but this is most certainly no reason to be put off. Everything else most certainly made up for it. John and Nicola went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was everything we could dream of. Little extras on arrival. And an amazing hot tub. We have come home relaxed and already booking again for next year. A real little gem and amazing value. Thank you x"
