Literally one mile above the Blue Ridge Parkway @ 4,000 feet, this freshly redesigned home boasts 2 King en-suites with a gourmet chef's kitchen and huge covered deck to thoroughly enjoy the spectacular views and peaceful surroundings. Everything in our home is new! Surrounded by undeveloped State forest lands, this is truly a peaceful get-away with great restaurants, unique shopping, spectacular waterfalls, tremendous hiking, horseback riding, trout fishing all nearby.

Cabin disinfected before and after each guest by our very-thorough cleaning team.

In our experience, there is nothing worse than showing up at your rental to find that it is less than what you expected and starting your vacation disappointed. We designed and furnished this home for our family and to our high standards - you will NOT be disappointed!

A wonderful stay!

We had a great time at "Tranquility". Wonderful view, comfy king beds, super clean throughout, well-equipped kitchen. Every need was provided! Host was very responsive and helpful. And the area is wonderful for hikes, activities, etc.

We enjoyed the cabin, it was very clean and updated! We were short drive to Boone and Blowing Rock, which we visited while staying here. The front porch has a nice view of the mountains. Would definitely book again!

beyond tranquility

The cabin is everything it says it is and then some. It is well equipped and maintained with care. I booked it specifically because of the views from the front porch. The sunrise and sunset were beyond magnificent. Sipping coffee early in the morning with the Blue Ridge mountains sprawling in the background was exactly what we needed. The host is very responsive. I had all my questions answered within an hour or so. We will most likely book this cabin again.

Work trip

Stayed in this beautiful home as I’m working nearby at the hospital. Everything is clean and the place is fully stocked. Can’t say enough about the owner Bill. He follows up to make sure everything is great and when the power went out he cane up to cut down trees and make sure it was taken care of promptly! And the view is amazing:)

Charming Cabin with Million Dollar Views!

Beautiful Mountain View. If you are looking to relax in a peaceful environment, this place is perfect. The place is very clean, has modern appliances, many small appliances, and everything you need for cooking your own meals. The deck has a beautiful Mountain View. The host communicated kindly and in a timely manner. Arrival information was clear and sent in advance. I will definitely return!

Great cottage and owners

You'll absolutely be happy with this great cottage. So much thought went into the entire place. Great quality all around from the owner's communication to the appliances, bedrooms, bathrooms, cleanliness, cable/internet, kitchen appliances, etc. They'll have everything you need. Bill is the best - and quickest - communicator I've experienced when renting a home. I look forward to returning to the property.

Wonderful and Relaxing

The home was perfect for a relaxing time in the mountains. The view from the front porch was great. The mornings out there were so nice and quiet- just me, my coffee, the birds, and the view. The two master suites on the main level were perfect for us and our older dog (yes the cabin was pet friendly too)! The cabin was close to town (by mountain cabin standards) and had easy access to local amenities- wineries, hiking, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Will definitely stay here again!

Idyllic Mountain retreat, Peace, quiet and spectacular views

The cabin was perfect for relaxing, reflecting, and spending time together surrounded by the beauty of nature. Its name, Tranquility, captures its charm. Communication with the owner was outstanding. The cabin is attractive, comfortable and well-equipped with great beds and a spacious contemporary shower. The kitchen is a cook's dream. We spent many enjoyable hours on the porch which is sheltered from rain apart from a real downpour. It is captivating to watch the clouds drift up the valleys or across the sky. An ideal mountain retreat.

Excellent Mountain get-away

The home was immaculate and had all the cooking utensils that were needed. The view was relaxing, and we saw deer and rabbits and heard other wildlife. We even saw a very young, possibly weeks old fawn. We did not expect a gravel road, but it was well maintained. We would stay at this location again. We attended the Highland Games and went to Little Switzerland for a great lunch and to the Mineral Museum. It was a fun vacation.

Just spent 4 wonderful nights at this property, if you are looking for quiet, tranquility, peace, quiet and a beautiful place in nature this is your item. Everything was as described on the website, oh we didn’t see any beers, boo. Very well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds. , drive up the dirt road was a piece of cake.. Would recommend!
