Nice stay at 21c St. Louis

The valet and front desk staff were great! Everyone was friendly and helpful, really created a welcoming environment. The overnight parking is a little pricey, but they took good care of our car and offered a speedy retrieval when needed. Parking in the area is limited, and while there is some street parking, wasn’t sure it was secure enough for an overnight. The hotel amenities were wonderful. The indoor pool and hot tub were great, along with a really nice gym. All facilities were really clean. Be sure to check out the art galleries on the second floor. The gallery space was some of the best we’ve seen at a 21c Hotel. Free bottled water with easy refill stations was a plus. Our one critique was that our room carpet and bathroom floor could’ve used a better cleaning, and the rooms are showing some wear and tear. Not horrible, but we stayed here about two years ago for the first time, and the room was extremely clean and well cared for. Hopefully, they’ll pay better attention to this because it’s a nice hotel in a cool building and it would be a shame to let it fall into disrepair.

I loved the hotel it was super pretty but it was so dirty. Our room was so dirty. They had the air off so it was super hot when we got there. Coffee machine was broken and they said they’d fix it and no one ever did. The location is not safe. There are tons of homeless in the area and we couldn’t even walk the town because of it. I like to but wouldn’t stay again.

One word captures the rooms. DRITY. Or maybe filthy. For the price of the hotel the rooms should at least be dusted. Not only was the room in need of a serious cleaning but I located a random pill on the floor and after checking it on drugs.com determined it was a 60 mg Adderall pill. Door entrances to the room were dusty and filthy again the space was just very unclean. The room was so dusty that both myself, and my significant other have been coughing and hacking and our allergies are in over drive. On the positive side, the hotel does have a very nice gallery space on the second floor and in the basement the fitness center and the pool were absolutely amazing.

The property was beautiful but we did not have a good experience. There were wrappers in the hallway on the 4th floor and it looked dirty. That evening an employee opened and came all the way into our room with his key card and it freaked us out, we never found out why that happened. He just ran out the door without saying anything. The next day, the fire alarms went off multiple times and we had to go down to street level and hang out in the lobby area for 45 minutes until the firefighters declared it a false alarm. We wanted to go to the bar and get some drinks, there was nobody at the hostess station so we sat down until the bartender very rudely told us we had to wait to be seated. I asked about going to the museum and I was told that it was closed due to a private event. I asked if I could go the next morning and the front desk employee told me I could go very early because they had another event the next day too. I asked if 6am would be alright and they said yes. I woke up specifically to go see the museum and the main gallery had already been closed for the event. We were also told the pool opened at 5am but my husband went down at 5:15am and it was closed. The hotel is nice but it just feels like it has some pretty big management issues. The room was nice though and the girl who did the valet parking (a young woman wearing knee braces both times we saw her) was very friendly and efficient! Coffee at the cafe spot was great as well.
