Check in was very rushed, bordering on rude. We’ve stayed here 3 times but think we’ll look for somewhere else. Beds really need to be replaced. Chris in the Fox & Hound is the best bartender around!

Really unique hotel, but it needs a deep clean. It’s not uncomfortably dirty but it’s getting close. Cool theme, fun pub, service is just ok. Bed was comfortable but I think my sheets were 20 years old.

One of the Very Best in St. Louis!!

The ambiance and overall experience was superb. A few things could use a spruce-up. (ie. replace the rusty shower curtain rod, perhaps larger bath towels). Otherwise, accommodations were quite satisfactory. The bar tender, Chris, at Fox & Hounds Tavern was spectacular!! All staff were cordial and attentive! We love The Cheshire, and it will remain our destination for our stays in St. Louis!

It was a great stay in a unique hotel. I like the ambience and the author themed rooms was cool. The Fox and the hound bar that's awesome too.

The toilet was clogged the moment we got into the room, when we removed trash bag from the cans the trash cans were disgusting we had to hide them so our 1 year old child wouldn’t touch them, it was dirty all around

I requested a remodeled bath at checkin but said none available. And 1st room toilet did not work so they changed room for us. 2nd room had multiple water stains on ceiling. Bathrooms definitely need remodeled in all the standard units.
