The property is beautifully landscaped and features numerous large Oaks, Pines, Cedars, and Palm trees with several hammocks and seating areas for relaxing. Enhancing the natural beauty and providing a unique level of privacy is a spring-fed Tidal Creek that borders the back of the property. Plenty of room for the kids to play.

Great location, great hosts

Property was great. It worked very well with our large family with pets. And being able to utilize the rv hookup was great. Everything was clean, the kitchen well stocked with cookware. The front porch is large and great for sitting outside. The location is awesome, very close to the marinas, Sea Hag and Steinhatchee Marina. But still set back and you get a little privacy. Kids can run around in the yard and no worry of them getting out into the road like other rentals in area. The hosts were very accommodating and incredibly nice.

Great scalloping get away

Near everything that Steinhatchee offers but in a secluded area with mature trees and woods all around. Listened to owls, cicadas and frogs during the late evening. Great place to reconnect with family to scallop and kayak. The host was very attentive and responded to all my questions quickly. Would recommend!

Annual Guys Scallop Trip

Awesome property that is great for groups. If all adults, very comfortable for groups 6-8, with kids you can definitely add folks. The property is in a great location and the owners were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did.

Great for groups

We had a large family gathering, and this was the central house where we gathered at night. Since we rented our scallop boat from the Sea Hag Marina, this was very close and convenient. The house was clean and the amenities were as described. Communication with Kirk during our stay was great. He was very responsive. We didn't have any issues at all, and really enjoyed our stay.

Description very misleading 😞

While this property is in a great location, I won’t be able to give it a good review. The description given is not accurate, and my family and I had to deal with multiple issues during our stay. First, the house does not have central air. Instead, each room has an A/C unit (this will be important later). Second, when you cook on the stove, the entire house heats up. We ended up eating dinner outside because inside was hotter, and in Florida, that is saying something. Lastly, and most importantly, the breaker box is not up to code and is a fire hazard. I know this because as we were staying there, the power went out. Kurt (the owner who likes to walk in unannounced) said that it must be because there were more people in the house than ever before, yet the description said the house could hold 12 people, and we only had 10. Long story short, the power would not stay on, which meant each a/c unit went out. The house was too hot to sleep in, and we almost left that night, but to make matters worse, Kurt decided to take out a claim saying that my family and I broke the breaker box. The box that my son in law, who is an electrician, checked and told Kurt that it was faulty and a fire hazard. If you decided to stay here, make sure you discuss the breaker box up front to see if it fixed and expect no privacy. I sincerely hope your stay will be better than ours.

Great place to stay! A "Bright Jewel" in a little fishing town!

We come to Steinhatchee during scallop season for our family vacation every year with our grown children and we all loved staying here. The property is so private and quaint. Everything was just as advertised and the owner was great to work with. It is close enough to the center of town you could literally walk to the Marina if you liked. Highly recommend it!!!

Great Scalloping Trip

Came down to the Fish Camp with 9 guys for a 2 night stay and had a blast! The beds were comfy. The home was clean and well stocked. I would definitely recommend this place. For those interested, it would work best for a small/medium size group or family. Thanks Kirk!
