I got into town around 7pm. There was a child at check in. They called an adult up which is when i was informed they had already rented out all their rooms. They sent me to a sister location down the road. The staff at check in there had completely blood shot eyes, but was friendly. The room at the motorlodge was nice and clean, but the parking lot lights were so bright we barely slept.

Big -brother style watching

Overtly controlling staff. They literally watch the camera 24-7 and don’t hesitate to call your room phone repeatedly until you answer if they think you are breaking one of their many many rules even if you are not.

Hello Jeff, thank you for your feedback, we monitor our cameras to ensure safety of every guest. We like to ensure that every guest is equally treated regarding pet policies and other policies. Any fees regarding pets is held to every customer and we don’t want to encourage any dishonesty or fraud against our policies. I can see we generously worked with you in regards to a deposit issue but we tried to reach you in regards to paying for a uninformed pet in the room as that go towards extra housekeeping needed to ensure the room is clean of any allergens to our next guest. The owner of the hotel is exceptionally caring. She always has a bright smile for everyone. She keeps an eye on the property even late at night, taking personal responsibility for the safety of her customers. She is professional and works hard to provide clean, comfortable rooms. People come back because of her kindness.

Overcharged for our pet at check-in. Wouldnt have caught it if I hasn't asked for a reciept of charges at check-in. Office not open in the morning until 8a.m. Blinds broken and missing slats - curtain rod broken. Huge, alcohol party with construction workers until midnight outside our door - couldnt sleep, felt very unsafe. If the Relax Inn is rated the #2 motel in Streator, IL we'd hate to see what the others look like. Stay Away from this motel !!!!

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and the area is quiet. Always our first choice when visiting family.
