A wonderful place!

Posted Oct. 13, 2023 on HomeAway
This was the absolute best VRBO we have ever booked! (USA, Ireland and France) We started our 5 week sorjourn with 6 days in Suippes and loved the house location in town just a short walk to bakery and groceries. We cooked our meals and everything was available for our use. We did not the upstairs loft twin beds. Wonderfully garden area for quiet morning coffee...attached garage...very secure and private neighborhood. Book this if available...we loved it!

Amazing place with great eye for detail!

Posted Aug. 2, 2020 on HomeAway
The owners did not save on cost, the whole lofty house has it all and a great 'at home feeling' is created with superb materials. Even an indoor spacious parking is available, a nice relaxing garden and plenty of space to hang-out. Our dogs were welcome and no questions asked. With the high quality of the interior one really should be aware that only well disciplined dogs should be brought! The kitchen is greatly equipped, the bathroom spacious and a comfortable living and eating area make it all complete. Unfortunately the little village isn't much alive: either one needs to travel for a nice diner of settle with kebab or pizza. There are however 3 fine supermarkets, a cheap gas station, a veterinarian and pharmacy. World War I is of great importance in the region, so Suippes has nice museum and plenty of interesting burial sites, with hundreds of casualties, surround the village and are worthwhile visiting when interested or to educate kids. For dog walks there is a small park at 3 minutes drive from the house. Don't be mistaken by all the woods, shown on google maps, in the area; they are are all of limits military training area. So no long hikes etc. Reims is a 50 km ride away with all one can wish for regarding shopping, lunches, night life. Eprenay about 80km when interested in the champagne making and most renown houses like f.e Moet & Chandon do guided tours within the cellars or through the area. Make your reservation through the internet well in advance. Any remarks to the Loft then? When normal temperatures: non, its a unexpected suprise on a 5* level! When temperatures get hot during the night, the small bedroom on the vide is unbearable. Even the double room downstairs becomes a sweaty place at night and airconditioning would really be a welcome solution to have some well deserved sleep after a day of long traveling, shopping or site seeing. But again: only when extreme warm it's a minor. We will certainly return, when traveling, at lower temperatures! It's simply a well hidden gem.....

Lovely loft

We had a very pleasent stay in the loft, the owner is very kind and helpful. The loft is very well equiped with a lovely garden to relax. Suippes itself is nor very special, but the area between Reims and Epernay is beautiful, a lots of small villages and winefields. Again: we enjoyed our stay very much!

Relaxing and comfortable

Posted Jul. 7, 2019 on HomeAway
We stayed as a family to visit Epernay, Reims and Verdun. Great location to all. Much more to do in the area. The town of Suippes is quiet. A nice break from the other larger cities we stayed in. We could walk to the grocery, bakery and the one pizza restaurant in town. Not the place if you want nightlife but perfect for us to sit in the enclosed garden and relax.

Amazing apartment, location and host!

Posted Jun. 14, 2019 on HomeAway
The Suippes loft was perfect in every way and an oasis that is located a short distance from Reims and Champagne country, but far enough to be a quiet place to rest after "touristing". The hosts were lovely and the property itself is exactly as advertised - recently restored and perfect for our family of five and several small dogs. We will be back!

A Perfect Place in Champagne-Ardenne

Posted Oct. 27, 2018 on HomeAway
This loft is completely perfect. Beautiful, spacious, gorgeously decorated with a lovely, gated yard. I would recommend this rental to anyone visiting the Champagne region of France. You'll love the place and the area. Suippes was a great base for travel to all the towns and champagne houses in the region. You'll need a rental car to get around (there is a secure garage for parking) and, if you arrive on a Sunday, be sure you have some food and drink with you as everything is closed on Sundays. The owner had left us some lovely preserves and a few other food items. The place is completely stocked with the basic spices and condiments. A great, well equipped kitchen of you love to cook. We loved everything about this place!

Very Comfortable Apartment in Quiet Village

Posted Oct. 17, 2018 on HomeAway
I booked this rental for several days while doing research for a book I'm writing. The apartment was exceptional in every way, with a modern kitchen, an exquisite bathroom, a big yard, secure entry, and plenty of space to park in the attached garage. I particularly enjoyed the privacy because I need peace and quiet when I work. I also enjoyed the lighting and the fine attention to detail of just about everything. The owners live right across the street and were wonderful hosts. The apartment is located in a small village off the beaten path with few restaurants. However, there are several supermarkets with wine, beer, produce, staples and anything else you might need. There are also bakeries, a pizza joint, a few bars, a beautiful 15th century church, a WW1 museum, and a wooded park along the river, all within easy walking distance. The cathedral city of Reims is a quick 45 minute drive. If you enjoy privacy and all the comforts of home, this is the place.

The Perfect Oasis in Champagne country

Posted Jun. 14, 2018 on HomeAway
My husband Tim and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Benedicte's lovely home. We wished we could have stayed longer! She was very easy to communicate with, very sweet lady and she supplied us with everything we could need from soaps to confiture (yummy)! The décor is stunning; she did an incredible job renovating this former blacksmith shop! Although there is only a pizzeria in town it was delicious and for 17 euros you could get a gourmet pizza and a bottle of Rose- how can you go wrong!! The WWI museum in town is definitely worth going to. We just LOVED her place and the peaceful surrounding. Would definitely return!!! Thank You Benedicte!
