The landscape in the Carnic Alps is characterised by green mountain meadows, dense forests and impressive peaks, which offer you a magnificent panorama at any time of year. Here you can go hiking, cycling or enjoy the ski slopes of Monte Zoncolan in winter. Excursions to the traditional villages of the region, a visit to the famous thermal baths of Arta or culinary discoveries centred around cheese and ham from Friuli are particularly worthwhile. Another highlight is the art of wood carving, for which Sutrio is known far beyond the region.
